Jin's gone

just as an fyi since he'd been here a long time

and if you want to take this post to whine about how you didn't like him, fuck off

gonna be watching movies if anyone wants to find me

[And indeed, for the rest of the day Ken will be found on the media floor, either watching movies (including his Featherman R DVD) or playing a shooting game.]
[Losing Mami, who he viewed as an adopted daughter, last month had been hard, but Diarmuid had worked his way through his grief by focusing on the happy times they had spent together.  However, when three more people he is close to are sent home--two of which he cares for like his own children--those happy memories become a source of pain instead of a route passed the grief.

When he appears on the Network, Diarmuid looks more lost and empty than he has in a long time.

Usually, when I address everyone, I am asking for help on a project that will benefit the whole Tower.  Today, I am asking for help on a more personal level.

How does one handle losing a child?  Not just one, but several over a short period of time?  Nothing I try seems to work, and I am...

[His voice trails off here, shaking and uncertain.  A short time later, the feed ends.]

In our arms for a little while, in our hearts forever. )

Yu Narukami is no longer in the Tower.

If anyone needs me for the rest of the day, they can find me on floor 48.

[And anyone who does look for him will find him wandering between two graves - Yu's and Shinjiro's. Two years ago... he still feels somewhat conflicted about being saved, but he's glad it happened.]

[Still, losing a friend and an enemy turned friend is difficult.]

[Chidori's expression is darker than usual, fingers toying idly with the broken headphones clipped loosely to one side of her dress.]

I do hope when the time comes that whichever of you sent me this will understand that at this point, it's quite difficult not to make the things that will happen to you as heinous as is within our collective ability. After all, you seem quite intent on making it personal with every person in the tower.

[There's an audible chime, like a cheery voicemail tone, from every terminal simultaneously, before text appears on the screen.]

Good afternoon, Tower of Animus. My name is The Observer. I've got a special message for you today, direct from one of our beloved administrators. Please read, listen to, and memorize this message, and reproduce it wherever you can!

Cut for long but very important message. )

Wasn't that a special little message? Now, copy it down in your notes so you don't forget it! No matter whom you're allied with, be it Pandora, Ganondorf, your friends from home, or just yourself! There will be a test on this.

And the first section of the test is this - I want you to place at least one copy of this message somewhere in the tower. No points for hiding it! It has to be visible to everyone! In a few days I'll tell you all how you did, and I'll repeat this message for you lazy people who didn't see or hear this today.

That's all for now!

- The Observer

[All characters with mailboxes will find a copy of the message in their mail as of this evening.]

alright, you chuckleheads.
you're all obviously very bored, and since you're incapable of coming up with entertainment that isn't pants-on-head retarded, I'm here to help you out.
I know, I know, I'm very generous.
so, here's what we're going to do:

reply to this post anonymously and say whatever the hell you want.

seriously, that's it.
blubber about how mean the admins are, talk shit about people you want to punch in the face, whatever.
trust me, you'll feel better after.

[ ooc: The most IC of IC anonmemes! Just indicate whether something is anon or not in your comment header. Shinji will put up a couple of example thread headers, but feel free to have characters make their own. Some of Shinji's replies might come from [personal profile] gamechamp. ]
Memento mori- remember that you will die.

[Chidori's voice is quiet, somber as always, but there's a lack of the usual note of resignation in her voice, a spare bit of determination.]

I don't... make speeches, usually. And I haven't kept up with whatever you've all been saying here, so if someone has said this before...

[Feel free to ignore it, is the implication.]

In any case, the main thing to remember is that we're all going to die. Permanently, I suppose I should say- and it isn't that big a deal, in the grand scheme of things. We're not real, and I think by this point it should be obvious that the 'circumstances' under which we were supposedly brought here are a lie. Convoluted, well-crafted and well-enforced, but a lie nonetheless. I can only presume the dead versions of our worlds are programmed into us when we 'leave' and 'return', but that doesn't matter either. As I said, it doesn't matter that we will die...

But what will matter is what we each do before then.

So regardless of what they put us through, regardless of how we are 'punished'- because that's no more real than anything else, really- we have a year, right? The time I've had here is more than I was supposed to anyway- I've been ready to die for a long time.

So take my advice, and live so you won't have any regrets in the end.

After all, what's the point in holding anything back anymore?

[He has to face it. He can do it. But other people need to know. He'd looked for her... and then checked the graveyard. Sure enough...]

For anyone who cares, Nanako Dojima is gone from the tower.

... That's all.

Greetings, my name is Naoya Toudou.

I was one of the affected, and for that I apologize if we met during this time. I was fully aware of what had been done to me but unable to stop myself and my actions, except for parts of complete clearness.

[Like that time when he was able to stop himself and Chidori and...]

However, that is not why I am posting currently.

For those that don't know me, I patrol at nights in the tower with a few others. This was started by Minami Arisato, a previous resident of the Tower.

I realize that at a time like this, it may almost seem trivial, but I will continue to do so to ensure the safety of others. If you are interested in joining me, please understand that this is extremely dangerous, especially with the tower having so many floors now, but having more numbers would be appreciated. If we end up being enough, we can start a rotation between ourselves.

Moreover, if for any reason you need to be in the tower at night and require assistance against the monsters, I am available for your aid as well.

Judging from the enthusiasm present in our lovely abode and the current fare offered, along with the so thoughtful warnings, I expect they be a sign of...Bright days ahead, aye?

What's this nonsense about this being a 'Jason month'.

03 April 2013 @ 03:08 am
Aha, 'Jason month?' ✩

[ Hagire claps his hands. Somehow, he sounds excited about the prospect. ]

What should I expect? Will someone lose a limb? I always did wonder, where did he earn his medical degree? The last time I saw love like that... well... an egg hatched.

In another world, he could have replaced the brat and his pet surgeon. ✩
03 April 2013 @ 12:51 am
Sickness and a month of Jason. Lovely. I would say I plan to file a complaint, but we all know how much good that would do.

Instead, a question to old and new residents alike.

"Is getting attached to anyone here worth it?"

Though perhaps "Do you feel such a foolish endeavor is worth the resulting pain when you're left behind?" would be a better phrasing. Regardless- your thoughts?

[Not that she really cares, of course- she just wants to verbally punch optimism in the face if it's presented.]

07 February 2013 @ 05:01 pm
these posts are all stupid and you should feel stupid for making them.

stop. you retards need to find another hobby besides shitting this thing up.
07 February 2013 @ 03:49 pm
So I see everybody took their stupid pills this morning. Good to know.

So, for reference, why don't you all tell me how many you're taking a day. And how much booze you're downing it with.

Don't forget to leave your name, room number, best way to piss you off, deep dark secrets and a bunch of other crap that nobody cares about. Because we really care.

Don't worry, either. This information will be recorded for every asshole that drops in on this Hellhole to see.
If I see one more post about surveys or information, I will not hesitate to set the perpetrators on fire. You have been warned. And if you don't think I'm serious, that's your mistake.

That said, if anyone would like a meal cooked without candy hearts in it, please let me know and I'll see what I can do for you. In a similar vein, if anyone needs clothing made or fixed, I will be glad to do that as well- anyone who went to the wedding saw my handiwork on the bride.

[Her impassive tone turns slightly cold, eyes narrowing.]

And to anyone who has recently arrived, my name is Chidori Yoshino, and if you so much as think about laying a hand on Ken Amada, Jin Shirato, Koromaru-san, Dave Strider, or [a millisecond's hesitation] Naoya Todou, I would suggest you reconsider-- because I will know, and you will not like what happens.
22 January 2013 @ 08:22 am
... Well, I guess that wasn't all bad. At least I know that I grow up to be pretty tall.

Aside from the idea of being trapped in this place for ten years, that was kind of fun.

Also, Chidori - if you see this post, I need to talk to you.
28 December 2012 @ 06:23 pm
If you had a chance to wish for anything in the world, what would it be?

Try not to go with the obvious "escape the tower" nonsense, because I know most of you want that. Think of something else. Something you really want.
09 December 2012 @ 08:10 am
[The message is brief and concise, written while she can manage to get the network to work. She isn't really going to sit and wait for replies, though if any come, she'll try and get to them.]

If anyone would like a coat or a cloak, I will be in the workshop taking measurements. If you have specific fabric you would like to use, please let me know before I attempt to make any decisions on what to make.
