[So tower, you're now being treated to bursts of Merrill and Fenris arguing-- it's staticky, of course, but they are definitely arguing! Over what? Well, how to use text.]

--"technology." No doubt their name for blood--[Static.]--tell you again if I must, it--[More static.]--watching to be certain no demons emerge from the glass.

I don't think--[Static.] magic, Fenris. There doesn't--[Static.]--magical about this. If a demon--[Static.]--fight it like we--[Static.]--do.

[Eventually the arguing dies out and words begin to appear on the screen instead of a voice file playing all of their bickering.]

hello/

[More images of tattooed hands, the same as in his last post. He's still working on that "positioning himself in focus" thing.]

I've no desire to use this technology any more than I have to. It's only more magic by another name. But I have a question, and it needs to be asked.

[He finally moves himself properly into focus, leaning over the terminal.]

I've seen complaints about victims of the tower who share their names, but this is different. Has the tower been known to alter memories? If one man remembers one path of events, and his friend another, could that be the doing of the demons and mages who control this place?

I cannot be the only one so afflicted. Tell me. Does this place change a person before they even arrive?

Wait a second.

I came to the library, saw these computers here, and out of curiosity’s sake tried to get the internet only to realize there isn’t one.

No yahoo. No Facebook. …WHAT AM I GOING TO WITHOUT FARMVILLE? MY CROPS ARE WITHERING AND YOU COULDN’T CARE LESS!!!

My virtual pets are going to get all dirty and pack up house to go over to one of my neighbors. My Sims are going to grow as weary and depressed as some of the folk I’ve passed in the halls here—and certainly that silver haired guy I’m rooming with. Wow. Talk about needing a little passive to mute out the aggressive! Swore he was staring daggers at me one night as I lay in bed.

Never. Again.

Oh.

I guess hearing that the world didn’t explode would be a perk of having a functioning social networking site, sure. Even CNN would’a been nice.

Can someone help a guy out? Any techies? Come on please?
