[Needless to say, Rick has seen better days. He's had a chance to read his note and change and get a feel for the dormitory level of the tower, but no amount of acclimation is going to make him comfortable with the fact that everything he knew--everything he was comfortable with knowing--has simply vanished. Desperate to find some tangible connection to his world, Rick makes a call for the one person that he knows can support him. So far, he's found no evidence that she's even here; an open post is all he can think to do next.]

Codi? It's Rick. You're probably hiding, and that's okay--you don't have to say where you are. I just want to know if you're all right.

I love you.

[He might be starting to panic a little bit.]

[Yukiko looks worried as she gets on the network. Very worried. She'd disappeared after the battles at the barricades, not been able to get back, not seen or heard from anyone...]

I owe everyone at the barricades the night of June 19th an apology. I couldn't do enough to help you, and I couldn't get back in time to prevent more damage and keep more of you from being hurt because of the way my magic was blocked.

[She gives the camera a deep bow.]

I'm sorry.

I'd also like to say something to everyone I was fighting with - from the brave, brave girl who kept pushing past her limits and kept going, to my team leader at home for showing why he's our leader, to every healer in the fight, to everyone who stepped in and replaced those who couldn't keep going any longer, to every single person there...thank you. You're very brave and very strong. Don't let anyone make you think otherwise. You're incredible.

And someone else has already said this, but to those who were turned...I don't hate you. You had no way of knowing. I didn't want to witch-hunt you, or go after you, because of something you couldn't control. Please take care of yourselves. You're not what Ruana says you are.

[She bows again, then cuts off the feed.]

[Also, the Persona-users at the barricade, SEES, the Investigation Team, Strega, Hidetoshi Odagiri, Ryoji Mochizuki, Saki Konishi, and Labrys will all get a note in their inboxes, with sharing instructions.]

[ Filtered from Ganondorf Dragmire ]

[ technically it would be filtered from Nesir as well, but Raven doesn't know who the girl with the demon king was and therefore has no name to filter from.

then again, the threat of retribution might not be so important at this point. ]

to those who were attacked or harmed by the original silver-masked monster of ruana's game, you have my apology.

however little it actually means.

You're a bit slow, aren't you? Fine, fine, I'll give you some more hints.

First, remember, for our dear first five monsters, you need to fulfill a special requirement to kill them during the day. I won't tell you their specific requirements yet--you haven't even figured out who they are, I bet!--but I will tell you this:

If I was a monster so repulsive even I wanted to stop myself, I would need ... before I could stop.

And now, for the identities! Here are some clues for you to figure out!

The Laughing Monster's powers as plain as you can see
Are what he feels and what he is and who he longs to be

The Apathetic Monster never more wants for a sword
With speed unparalleled, it'll find its enemies gored

From blood comes the fire in the Crying Monster's veins
'Tis utterly powerless otherwise, or so the world does deign

Dearest Screaming Monster, what curses do you see?
Whose puppet strings direct this terrifying prophecy?

The Growling Monster on borrowed time lives on
Though borrowed time is stopped once it is called upon

((Ruana will not be replying to this post, but you can reply to each other and use it to try and figure out who's who.))

Monsters that can enter even our rooms, Ruana? That is your game? And if the pods aren't what protects us from them otherwise, what is?

*Enoch sighs tersely, a little shaken beneath his annoyance. Death isn't fun, even if it isn't real.*

Jason must rather dislike all this extra work you're giving him...

[Unlike others who panicked over the fact that their worlds are destroyed, there's certainly a young girl who doesn't seem to buy any of those empty words on her letter. Y u p, this girl.

Instead of direct contact though, Aisha's going with text for this one. Better be careful if you're in an unknown place, after all. She's not even going to mention her name in her first step here.]

El Shard.
Nasods.
Bethma.
Feita.
Altera.
Hamel.
Velder.
Elves and Dark Elves.
Black Crow.
Red Knights.
Temple of Frozen Water.

[Well, guess those are enough? She better starts with that much first. Not to menton that some of those are ambiguous as well.]

Contact me if you recognize any of them. Immediately.

[A month long visit to a dead world was not the best vacation she could ever have. Not even close.]

How in Elrios do you all manage to go on, knowing that your worlds are decimated beyond repair, by means of magic or otherwise?

[Hence, text. If she talked now she'll probably break into tears.]

[It takes a moment for Sam Erstwhile to speak- when he finally does, his voice is quiet and strained, as if he's doing his best not to break down and cry right then and there.]

I....I'm sorry. For what happened back then, with the brainwashing and all. I mean, god, I remember hurting people, and...killing them...

[He grows quiet for a while, before suddenly speaking back up again.]

And I know it wasn't me. I was changed into a...monster. They experimented on me and changed me and now I'm back to myself again. But I still remember it all- the memories just won't go away, you know?

[And a shuddering sigh.]

The whole point of this is, well...first I wanted to apologize. For what I did, even if I wasn't myself... And second of all, I wanted to ask something. When they change us back to our normal selves...they don't leave anything behind, right? Because after doing that, it still feels like I did it with my own hands. Like what I was then and what I am now are still the same, like part of that thing is still inside me and I can never get it out...

[It's been inside him for a long, long, long time, but like he'll ever say that.]

I mean, it's the first time I've gone through this thing, this experimentation, and I've heard other people have went through it multiple times in this Tower...so I want to know. How do you deal with something like that when you return to normal? If you really do return to "normal".

How do you convince yourself that you're still a good person after all of that?

[If you're in the library later on, you'll find him curled up in a corner with his fairy tale books, murmuring quietly  to himself:]

I wonder if they saw...? No. It's alright. Yes, yes, I know, I'll get over that...it can't have happened, right?

[And then he just shakes his head and continues reading, frown on his face.]

[The feed opens to a bespectacled teen staring at you guys with a serious look on his face.]

Hey, I got a question for you guys.

[...He has to admit what he's asking is really dumb even for a guy who had been here for a while, but well...]

This terminal here, does it store information from a long while ago?

[There's a sigh.]

I know that it must've sound weird, but this is the first time I'm using it. So I guess that's all then.

[...oh wait.]

Name's Shiki, Shiki Tohno, in case there's other people sharing the same name here.

[Gilbert is at the terminal again, a nutrition bar in his hand. A stack of them can be seen in front of him. He begins to practically shout into the screen, gesticulating angrily.]

Hey, everybody! Gilbert here, and I am PISSED! We've got these stupid bars again! And the restaurant is CLOSED! Definitely, surely, one-hundred-per-cent CLOSED! I checked around the area, in the area, around the area some more, and NOTHING! Maybe we should FORCE the restaurant open somehow! Like, I don't know, we could get in there somehow and maybe raid their ingredients... they've got to still have ingredients.

[An incredibly huffy sigh.] I have to eat bunches of these things before I feel full... [He reluctantly takes a giant bite out of the nutrition bar in his hand.] I've had a nutrition bar month before, but I'd still like to ask you guys: how do YOU survive the Nutrition Bar Lifestyle?

EVE would like to verify that Chung, Raven, and Rena are still present in the tower. Additionally, if any others from Elrios have arrived in her absence, and updated list is requested.

EVE was not able to bring back any samples, but... I can confirm that our world has died. I was unable to find any traces of life or El energy. Not even the demons remain. The red-haired boy... I was also unable to find.

If there are still those here who doubt the information we have been given about our worlds, EVE urges you to reconsider. Whatever force caused this, there is no way anything could have survived. Revival is not possible. This death is absolute.

I am sorry.

Um, hello everyone. I just had a question that's been bothering me for awhile now and I'd really really appreciate it if you could help me with it.

Anyway If someone is suffering do you think it is right to kill them to end their pain? I really don't know myself....

31 March 2013 @ 09:48 am
spare me the grand speeches.

what do you believe happens with those who disappear from the tower? not to them, specifically, but what causes it and why some, it seems, are able to return.
