I wanted to thank you for fixing all the floors back to the way they were and for even giving us new ones, and for returning our trunks. I know the things inside of them mean a lot to the people here.

I didn't know if anyone had taken the time to let you know that what you did was appreciated.

I want to thank them too, because things like that can mean a lot to people.

That's what I want to think. Even people who do bad things can be good sometimes, or at least not as bad as they seem.

I believe all people have some good in them.

Of course they want us to be pleased at times, even taken care of. They wouldn't want to lose their precious test subjects...

I'm not being fooled. There's nothing wrong with saying thank you when something good is done.

I don't think that's true! If we can't leave the Tower yet then they could treat us any way that they want.

Willing subjects are easier to manage that rebellious ones. Those that are complacent won't question, won't seek answers and won't be poking their noses where they are not wanted.

That's how they trick you into things...

But, if you wish to thank them and such don't let me stop you, I was just... well... giving a warning is all.

Yes, while it is polite to thank those in charge of keeping us here, it doesn't bode well for many others that might not agree. Are you sure you should thank them publicly like this?
