002 || accidental video

[The video starts with a loud thunk and a clatter.

Since arriving here Axel hasn't had time to try out the network or the terminals, so he thinks today might be just as good as any to try his luck after a bit more exploring. Unfortunately he hasn't... really managed his time well enough and at some point or another it's gotten dark.

... Unfortunately with the weather as it is, Axel's not in the best shape and anyone watching either in person or through the screen might see him struggling to stand upright against a nearby wall.

His fire had been doing well enough when he left his room and felt the sting of the cold, but once he spent enough time traversing the halls his body began to respond much differently, becoming heavier and weaker by the minute. It's not long before he tries to open up a Corridor off to the side in hopes that he'll be able to make a quick getaway back to his room--

--but in the end even that fails and he ends up collapsing against the wall.]

((OOC: There are potential plans on someone helping Axel out, but new people are welcome to try and talk to him/interact with him until that happens!))

[Well, aren't you spiffy. Axel's slumped up against the wall, crouching and struggling to push himself back up, when he looks up at the sound of footsteps coming nearby.

Thankfully his senses aren't too damaged by the cold and he can sort of make out that it's Reno.

He scoffs then shakes his head.]

Couldn't be better.

[Going to take him a long while to respond to that. Give him a minute... his fingers are freezing]

Thankfully I didn't disappoint

You sure?

[Something was telling him that Axel wasn't doing too well. Might have been all the struggling.]

You look like you need a good fire.

[Isn't Reno a good buddy?]

[He... might perk up a little at that. But he glances away again with a shake of his head.]

I'll be fine.

[Going to try and push himself up now, watch out.]

[Now, Reno was really bad at it. He hadn't gotten pass barely being able to cast it when Axel left the last time, but he had been working on it a little bit.

So he raised his hand and cast a small Fire.

And watch it putter out...]


...Sorry, never did get that one down.

[Axel watches Reno out of the corner of his eyes and when he sees that bit of fire immediately diminish he scoffs.]

Gotta work on that.

[Only a lot, dude.]

Yeah, it was kinda hard going on when ya just up and disappeared.

Lemme try again.

[This time, he focuses with eyes crossed, and manages to generate a little heat. And smoke. Not much flame.]

Look, man, you don't look so good. I think ya need to go get under a blanket or something.

[Axel watches and when that little attempt dies out he sighs. Well, at least he's trying.]

It's nothing.

[Shakes his head and tries to stand up himself. Don't help.]

Liar. You're like me, spike head, you don't like the cold.

[The retort was mild, though.]

[Axel tenses at that and shoots Reno a bit of a glare. Don't compare him to you... don't compare him to anyone else for that matter.]

You don't know that.

[Stubbornly he uses the wall for support and pushes himself up so that he's at least standing. He's not sure he'll be able to push away and balance on both legs, however.]

Sure I do. I know you.

[Reno reaches out a hand to help him, but pulls it back, knowing Axel probably wouldn't want that.]

Ya might not remember, but we used to be friends.

[Friends. Right. Axel's had just about enough of complicated friendships for a while. The last thing he needs is another one. He's breathing shallowly when he glances over his shoulder and waves a hand to try and open up a Corridor.

Yeah, no, that still fails.]

Never mind that. Weren't you busy with something else?

[midgarhorizon]

...Nope.

[He'd forgotten all about it, anyway.]

[He just shakes his head at that and tries for another Corridor.]
