[ He's tempted to turn off that filter on his end, but he decides against it. Actually, he thinks her acting is funny. Especially if they eventually get to the fun part of that routine. ]

Ahah, sounds like it! ✩ Nothing too impressive so far, though. If there's a new Carnival Corpse here, it's gonna be really boring. [ She's not the only actor here. After all, he's been impersonating Toto Sakigami for a month back in their own world, and did the same here as far as Shiro was concerned. Speaking of Shiro... so, Minatsuki met Shiro, rather than Wretched Egg. Interesting. ]

'Ganta,' huh? That's Woodpecker's real name.

I never heard anyone with that name.

[ Okay, that surprised him. If this is another part of her act, he'll bite. ]

You had a Carnival Corpse match against him in my time. Who was the last person you fought?

Ahah, Peacock, huh... [ Yeah, that's... awkward. But that means she hasn't even met Ganta yet. She's even further back in his timeline than he thought. ]

You haven't met Woodpecker then. Poor guy, he's gonna be so confused if he shows up. ✩

[At the mock threat, she dashes for the lounge with waiting for his answer.]

Shiro hurried! Toto hasn't eaten Shiro's present yet, right?

[ How nice of Wretched Egg to let Shiro out despite the obvious plan she's been carrying out. He smiles at Shiro, both out of amusement, and a slight trace of genuinely being happy to see her. ]

No, it's right here! ✩

[ A big mountain of ice cream, egg-shaped white chocolates, and red food coloring meant to imitate the designs on their outfits. All from the... surprisingly generous menu from the cafeteria this month. ]

[Yup. Today's Shiro's day. Aceman said so.

Shiro claps her hands and goes straight for the pile of sweets.]

Those are all for Shiro?

[Shiro takes one white chocolate egg and neatly opens it in two, and hands one half to Hagire.]

[The fact that she's forgotten to use his name this time shows how much she's happy about it.]

Shiro wants to share with Toto.

[ He nods, grinning. ] Yep! I said I'd make you something for White Day. ✩

[ And Wretched Egg would probably rip one of his arms off for forgetting. Not that he would. He did genuinely care for Shiro, after all. ... just not in the same way he did for the Wretched Egg. ]

Aww, you do? [ He claps his hands. ] I'd be happy to! ✩ [ He graciously takes the white chocolate egg, and pops it into his mouth. It wasn't the luxurious European-imported chocolate he'd give Shiro for her birthday back at Deadman Wonderland, but it was surprisingly good. ]

[Shiro eats her half and sighs in delight.]

Hmm...

Shiro didn't know Toto was getting something for Shiro for White Day. It's a great surprise!

Well, why not? ✩ I said I was going to take care of you, didn't I?

[ The 'Because Woodpecker isn't here to do it' goes unspoken. He's not going to subtly try to make her angry at him. Not today. ]

And don't worry about the Valentine's Day present for me. I got one from 'Aceman' instead.

[An enthusiastic nod.] Toto did!

[Shiro starts eating the ice cream.]

Oh? What did Aceman give Toto?

She gave me something to eat, too. [ Which is true, but is obviously not the whole story. ]

Careful, you'll get brain freeze. ✩

Did Toto like it?

[Shiro shrugs.] Other people warned Shiro about brain freeze before but Shiro never got one!

[ He laughs at that. ] Just be careful, okay? I promised Aceman I'd make sure nothing happens to you. ✩

[Shiro smiles.] Toto is lucky. Aceman doesn't often make presents. She did once to Ganta, though.

[A nod.] Okay, Toto! ...Toto doesn't want ice cream too? Toto's afraid of getting brain freeze?

I'm special. ✩ [ He claps his hands, his spoon still between his fingers. ] He didn't seem to like that present, very much.

Oh, sure, if you want me to have some. ✩ [ A spoonful of it. It's.. not as nice as a Branch of Sin, but he'll enjoy it for her sake. ]

[Shiro nods, looking down a bit sadly.] No, Ganta didn't like it at first... But Ganta's become stronger. So maybe now he does. [She gives Toto a somewhat hopeful look.

Shiro smiles as he accepts to eat some ice cream. And she takes a few more spoonfuls of ice cream herself.]

He has gotten stronger, I'll give him that. [ The first few Carnival Corpse matches he was in started off absolutely horribly, and it looked like he was going down hard. Amazingly, he turned it around. The Wretched Egg was many things, but one thing you couldn't accuse her of was having bad judgment. ]

Their ice cream isn't bad. ✩ [ He doesn't love sweets like Shiro does, but he doesn't outright hate them like Wretched Egg does, either. ]

But Toto doesn't think Ganta likes being a deadman?

It is good, huh? But Shiro really likes the chocolate eggs too!

I think it's a bit more complicated than him not wanting to be a Deadman. [ He takes another spoonful of the ice cream. ]

It's not bad. ✩

Hmm... Toto thinks he regrets his school?

[Not his schoolmates. Just the school.]

Something like that, possibly! ✩

[ It was obvious who destroyed that building and butchered those kids. That had Wretched Egg written all over it, he knew her work when he saw it, and so did Tamaki for that matter. ]

But I think he's gotten used to living in Deadman Wonderland. [ And she definitely had something to do with that. In some bizarre way, Wretched Egg slaughtering his classmates was the best thing that ever happened to him. ]

Shiro truly hopes he is! [For her, Deadman Wonderland wouldn't be the same without Ganta.]

Of course, things are changing there. Tamaki messed a lot up, you know.

Tamaki?

The Promoter? Glasses? Complete manchild? ✩

[Shiro frowns. And then shakes her head.] Shiro saw him with Ganta. But Shiro doesn't know him.

You haven't missed anything. Aceman knows him, though... [ And from what Wretched Egg said before, she was quite disappointed that she didn't get to kill him. ]
