[Standing in front of the machine known as the terminal, Thorin frowned. He had only figured out how to work this from others he had met upon arriving into the tower. He hoped his calls would be answered as he was not in the best of moods right now. Being kidnapped was something any dwarf objected to.]

If anyone is listening to this, I have some questions. Do you know who abducted us from our world and placed us within this tower? I demand to be told why and if there is a way out. [There has to be.]

Also, is there anywhere to find food and drink as I am rather hungry and thirsty. I cannot live on fresh air alone.

[This was directed to his captors, whomever they might be.]

I urge someone to answer this as I am need of aid and answers. I will not be held in this prison willingly. Know this.

If you can't stomach the cafeteria food, I could probably make you something. But it's not charity work, if you know what I mean.

If you didn't know about the cafeteria in the first place, that's where you get your daily meals.

[He would not say no to home cooking. The boy's offer was indeed tempting.]

I would not say no to some home cooking. If you are indeed, offering.

If there's anything specific you want, you'll have to kill it yourself, so you know. Otherwise, you'll just have to have whatever I drag in for the day. You can find plenty of normal creatures on various floors to kill.

[Kill? Hunting? This excited Thorin some as he did enjoy a good hunting trip.]

I enjoy a good hunt when the need arises. What animals dwell on these floors?

On floor, uh....thirty-two, you can find most of anything normal. Deer, boar, that kind of thing.

Floor thirty-two. [Thorin grunted and nodded. This would prove most useful if he wanted to hunt his own food. He didn't fancy the idea of using this cafeteria. Whatever that was.]

Are the use of campfires allowed within the tower? So that we may cook our kill.

As long as you're on one of the outdoor floors, I don't see why not.

[This was perking Thorin's spirits up immensely. Hunting and cooking food outdoors? He would rather be doing that than skulking around dingy floors.]

I thank you for this information, lad. What is your name? I am Thorin Oakenshield. Do you know if there is a smithy or blacksmith around somewhere?

Most people just call me Satsujinki. For what you want, there's a workshop on floor fifteen but the equipment is pretty rickety so you have to be careful when using it.

Satsujinki. [He nodded once.]

Rickety? Ill news indeed. We dwarves are used to strong equipment meant for heavy use and wear. I will have to search for this workshop.

You're a dwarf? [He's read stories and all...]

...you could probably use the tools there to forge better tools. Heck, with that kind of skill, you could probably make a living by making things for people.

Perhaps that will be my line of work. I do not know yet. [He nodded proudly. Making new tools could be useful.]

You know of dwarves and their craftsmanship skill?

It might sound weird but where I'm from, dwarves are pretty popular in fantasy books. All I really know is that they're good craftsmen and that they hate elves.

Books? We are real as the stone on which you stand on now. [They were no fairy tale but living people. A strong, proud folk.]

We are good at our craft. Hate? There is a reason why we do not get on with our pointy-eared neighbours.

I don't really doubt that. I've seen some pretty fantastic things in my time so I'm not really surprised.

I figured. They're pretty stuck up and enjoy nature while dwarves tend to be considered lower than them and prefer machinery, right? That's definitely a situation where no one is going to get along.

What books were these which you gained information about our peoples? We are good blacksmiths and craftsmen. We are also strong warriors who never back down in the face of death.

They're just story books. I probably read a few as a kid but I don't even remember what they were about. They always had things like giants and trolls and wizards.

Story books? [Thorin had seen his fair share of trolls, giants and wizards.]

I travel with a wizard named Gandalf. He is with my company of dwarves and hobbit, seeking to reclaim our long lost home, Erebor. Trolls and giants are dangerous, savage killers. You'd do well to stay away from them.

I don't really have an issue with any of that. I've fought and killed more than my fair share of magic users too so it's no big deal.

They call themselves magi. I don't know if that's the same as a wizard.

[Rabbit hasn't yet gotten the chance to go exploring yet, he was still hung up on the dormitory area. He doesn't really need to eat after all, and he was still busy trying to see who else was hanging around these floors.

Like, say, for example, a small hairy man. That's interesting. Why don't we go talk to him?

Rabbit gives himself away quite quickly, it isn't like he's going to win any awards for sneaking, the clanging, whirring, clicking automaton making quite the bit of noise approaching the terminal Thorin is at. The smile on his face is friendly, if a bit crooked and odd looking]

Ki-kinda like a bad j-joke innit? Y-y-y-ya think they'd gi-give us a map or somethin', have ya se-seen the size of this place?

[A whistle. He saw the stairs alone.]

Is that not the same as being a wizard? [Thorin did not care as he didn't trust wizards for the most part.]

[He narrowed his eyes at the strange creature on the screen. Joke? Thorin didn't find this funny one bit.]

Nay, not a joke. This is some kind of cruel trick. Keeping us locked in this tower like animals. I will not have it. [He growled.] How long have you been here?

Like I said, I don't know. The terminology is pretty weird.
