[A man, or at least you might think he is a man (he is) sits before one of the computers. He didn't think this technology would be used by him again, but apparently so. Clearly, it was a tad different from what he was used to, but his memories allowed him to recall something so basic. His voice came, nearly echoing through that armor.]

I am Hakumen.

I am sure you are used to this, so I will not bother asking questions I can have answered with another. The foulness of this tower, and some of its residents that I assume you are aware of, has managed to distract me from another goal.

To cut this short, I need only those that know the following names:

Ragna the Bloodedge, Terumi or Hazama, Rachel Alucard, Valkenhayn Hellsing, Noel Vermilion, Tsubaki Yayoi, Relius Clover, Tager or The Red Devil, Jin Kisaragi, or the Grimalkin--I mean Kokonoe.

[You could easily tell that some of these names were not ones he liked to speak of.]

Before I speak to you, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Theodore and it's a pleasure to meet you, Hakumen.

I do not mean to waste your time, but are you sure that the people here will lead you to those you have named?

Your intentions are unknown to the dwellers of this place and therefore what reason do you give us to trust you?

And that blindness is nearly equally shared within this tower, though some of you have already made your intentions more than clear. To me, it matters little if you trust me or not, just so long as you do not get in my way with distractions.

However, if it's information you so desire, then ask. If this tower is not aware of some of these names, then they should be. [Or will be if certain people were here.]

Very well, then information it shall be that I request from you. Why do you search for them? You didn't sound happy when you spoke of them, so I come to the conclusion that they are your enemies.

However, I do want to know from you if my assumptions are right.

I am trapped within a tower, taken away from my mission, and it remains unknown to me the true fate of my world. Tell me, would you sound joyful because of one name with all of this?

But no. Not all are my enemy.

[An extremely peppy ~~and vaguely familiar~~ girl appears on screen, though something's amiss... How the hell do you work these terminals? And why is everything fuzzy? The audio stutters as her form is distorted with static - but just like back home, a swift and solid boot to the proverbial head sets everything straight eventually! Funny how blunt force trauma can solve so many basic problems~

Makoto clears her throat, then raises a hand as if she were still in school.]

I know most of those names myself, but of all people I didn't expect to see you here, Mr. Hakumen.

[Gosh, it's a little embarrassing to actually meet one of the Six Heroes, even if it isn't exactly face-to-face. The prospect of even chatting with this guy makes muting her hyperactive tendencies a bitch and a half even with the more pressing matters at hand. There's always time for autographs later, Makoto. If Mr. White Void would even oblige in the first place.]

Nice to know I'm not the only one stuck here! Even if we've technically never met, hehe. I've got tons of questions myself, so I'm not exactly sure I can tell you much about this place aside from the fact that, apparently, these 'Administrators' are absolutely nuts - er, no pun intended.

Then I shall remind you that the people within this place share your fate, even though we all come from different worlds. Being trapped here is what we have to bear until we are able to find a way to change our fate.

[He nods slowly.] I see.

They only share a fraction of that fate. Thus far, this tower and the situation is the only similarity we share. To prevent this destruction was my task, and I have failed at that.

The lack of awareness of Terumi and Relius Clover is something I do not know of to be a blessing, or a possible danger for those here in the future.

[She seemed...familiar. Memories remained scattered and broken, so a name could not be formed. Who was this beastkin? Dwelling on it would not help right now though, not when he needed to figure this out.]

So there is at least one who knows of me, yet I do not know you. State what you know about the names of those mentioned.

[Quick and blunt, because he was curious.]

[Jeez buddy, that's asking for a lot. Could you at least buy me dinner first? This guy knows a SLEW of important names, both from the NOL and Sector Seven alike - but who else is listening? This connection couldn't at all be secure. Better make this quick an' easy...]

Well I'm friends with Noel and Tsubaki. We were classmates back in the Academy... Jin vanished into Kagutsuchi last I heard, and Ragna is supposed to be that criminal with the bounty on his head, right?

Have you known that some people here would not exists if their worlds had been destroyed? The ones ruling over this place don't tell us the truth, the chances for that are at least high.

[Theodore wants to be optimistic, even though it might be foolish.]

Do you mind me asking what makes them a possible danger?

[So she was friends with Tsubaki. Maybe his memories were not so broken after all. At any rate, there was more to discuss. Those were important names, but not the main focus.]

Tell me then, beastkin, are you aware of what Hazama and Relius Clover have done?

[Her life depended on these questions now. She didn't seem like she worked for Hazama and Clover, but he needed to make sure.]

[Dammit what was with ~mysterious individuals~ and calling her BEASTKIN? Her eye may have just twitched. Just an tiny bit.]

I've got a name you know, it's Makoto Nanaya!

Hazama is the head of the Intelligence Division of the NOL. And Colonel Relius ... is a freak in a gimp mask. Look, wouldn't this sort of conversation be better handled in person?

[Circumstances aren't exactly normal at the moment afterall. I mean, she's been thrown around through dimensions (TWICE), Hazama isn't to be trusted (and who's surprised?) and Tsubaki and Noel are in danger, but could this guy be the real Hakumen? Mouthing off everything she knows on what's apparently a public terminal isn't smart regardless of where she is.]

Then let us simply do that, Nanaya.

[That would be best at any rate, maybe a better assessment of Makoto and to see if she wasn't a threat. Clearly, she worked for those two.]

[Alright, now we're getting somewhere!]

[And now she'll just be switching off this feed and waiting.]

[It doesn't take Hakumen long to find the floor, and he finds Makoto. Still, something seemed off. Maybe it was just his senses going off. Other times like in his world, they were far stronger.]

[From the moment Hakumen's laid eyes on her, Makoto's been in his face, poking and prodding armor carefully. She's... very thorough. And equally shameless.]

[Before Hakumen could even react, his eyes had to keep tabs on her as she examined every part of him. Had he real eyes under that mask, he might have looked confused. He recalled Tsubaki's fangirl actions were amusing, but this...this was far stranger than he imagined.

Those eyes do move, though try not to look too closely at Makoto's outfit. Between her and Litchi, he wondered if more women would dress less decently. He sighs through the armor.]

All of that is information that is not important. [Come to think of it though, trapped in the edge all this time, he probably did need a clean-up.] I would ask that you restrain your enthusiasm for now. We have more important matters to discuss now.

[Maaan, if THIS is too much then she can't possibly hope for an autograph, can she? ... Pictures? No? Well, whatevs, maybe later. Tsubaki's ~~still~~ gonna have a ladyboner over this one. Hakumen was right though. It's srsbzns time, and while it may take Makoto a moment to get over herself, she does take on a notably business-like demeanor]

Hehe, sorry, bit of a nerdgasm there, but I had to make sure you were legit, y'know? However, after rather ~extensive~ testing, I'd say you fit the bill. Naturally my squirrel-senses are never wrong.

[And she's damn proud of that granted how far her chest's sticking out - probably to Hakumen's displeasure.]

You wanted to know about the others, right? Well it's a bit of a long story so I'll give ya' the cliffnotes:

Hazama, Relius and the Imperator are all in cahoots with eachother, and last I saw they've taken my friend Tsubaki with them. Until now I've been working under Sector Seven, but for the longest time they've stashed me deep undercover in NOL territory, and trust me, taking orders directly from that snake Hazama is the crappiest deal I've ever had the pleasure of enduring. Thank-you-very-much.

[He ignores her peppiness, though now he remembers. Thankfully there was no face behind the mask, otherwise there would be a deep frown. Now he remembered this woman from his past. Makoto Nanaya, a friend of Tsubaki. The three of them were allies, and even if he didn't pay that much attention to Makoto, she was a trusted ally. At least this girl did not know the truth about him and Tsubaki, of how she...

No. Going back to the past was dangerous. Focus on the now. But wait, she worked with Kokonoe? This could complicate things...]

Sector Seven. Tell me, do you work for the Grimalkin then?

Those administrators those here seem to fear? Think of them like that, always experimenting or torturing others for their own amusement or purpose. They are the definition of the word "monster."

Work's a bit of a heavy term for it... Leeeet's just say we're mutually inclined in working towards the same goals. Two heads are better than one, am I right?

[It's more accurate to say Makoto works for herself and is only allied with Sector Seven because it benefits her goals. She's not at all interested in dragging you off to Kokonoe, so rest easy hero.]

Then what is your end goal? I assume you are unaware of what the Grimalkin has kept hidden, albeit poorly when she kept me imprisoned.

To be perfectly straight with you Mr. Hakumen? I just wanna bail my friends outta this mess. That's all. I could care less about the nutty game of musical chairs everyone and their grandma seems so hellbent on playing. 'Course, now I'm stuck in this place and word is it's no Chuck-E-Cheese either. Laaaame~ Figures the ballpit would be booby trapped... S' about my luck I suppose!

[Of course that doesn't mean she wouldn't be interested in what Hakumen has to say about her new boss... Some dirt would be nice. Y'know. For insurance.]

What's this about Kokonoe anyhow? You find out if she and the Red Devil are hittin' it off or somethin? Cause, y'know... While we're here I wouldn't mind any particularly juicy details...

[If her goals were just to get Tsubaki out, this might work. Tsubaki at the moment had to be taken far away from the battlefield, especially with that cursed weapon. Makoto could prove to be useful, minus the mental image he received.]

For now, while Terumi, who you call Hazama, is the larger threat, the Grimalkin is storing nuclear weapons, the very ones mankind used in vain to destroy the black beast. I need not repeat the tale of that, do I? She can hardly be trusted with such a threat in the palm of her claws.

Hold the phone, legit nukes? Of the big, explosive and slightly radioactive variety? Jeez, I knew the boss was a bit eccentric yeah, but never THIS loopy... How'dja figure that one out anyway? Can't imagine this is exactly gossip material for the book-clubs.

The grimalkin presumed to imprison me within the lowest confines of Sector Seven. She almost succeeded, but once her traps were disabled, escaping hardly proved a challenge. However, her traps were meant to lead me away from something she didn't want found.

That is how I discovered the alarming number of nuclear weapons stored away.

[Naturally, he doesn't sound too pleased about finding them either. Of course.]

Ok. So I'm guessing we're talkin' more than just two or three huh? Wishful thinking? Gotcha. Sounds about right.

Well, the good news is, I couldn't see the Boss-lady shooting off nukes unless it was an absolute last resort. The BAD new is there's not much we can do to stop that from here... That's our problem.

And the accumulation of problems only continues to increase with the prison of this tower, and those observers. If only the two of us are here, we have little to concern ourselves with from Terumi and Relius, for now.

[And back home, they were another threat just waiting to be unleashed, if not Ragna himself posing as yet another variable that could destroy everything. Didn't help that the state of the Six Heroes only kept getting worse. Nine was dead, Terumi wasn't an option now, Hakumen's power was reduced to 20%, Trinity was sharing a body with the idiot magical girl Jubei was teaching, Valkenhyn was stuck as Rachel's servant and aged, and Jubei was no doubt still hurt by the magic, and he might have been in the best shape out of all of them.]

Regarding those two, I doubt I would need to explain why avoiding fighting them is within your best interest.

[Excuse me, Hakumen, did you really just tell Makoto not to fight the two people solely responsible for her friend's disappearance?]

Yeah, thanks for the heads up, but I'm afraid that option's just not in the cards. Never was. I know for a fact that those two weirdos are responsible for Tsubaki's supposed face-heel, not to mention the pain they've already put Noel through... I've come way too far and put up with way too much of their bull to just back down now. This isn't about the Librarium anymore, or Sector Seven, or whatever the hell those loons are trying to pull. It's about my friends.

[Those are her guns and she's sure as hell stickin' to them!]

Anyhow, s'up with the concern? If you're worried about lil' Makoto you could always just tag along, and if cats really DO spook you I'll sweeten the deal by doing everything in my power to keep the Boss' paws off you. Scouts honor.

[There was truth to those words. Maybe if she was there, she could have actually prevented Tsubaki's death and just left him to die. That would have been the better option, at least part of him says that. This girl would be doomed to perish if she remained on her path if she continued.

[She's no stranger to fighting opponents with superior reach. The first and most critical step will be to get close, which is exactly why she begins to charge headlong into range. And she's fast at that. Crazily so.]

[Extremely fast, but not as fast as the cat. Hakumen brings up his arm, a blue shield surrounding it just as Makoto got close. Rather than stop her, once the blow connected, he would thrust out his own palm, intending to strike and push her away.]

[Who said anything about striking? The fact that Hakumen even allows her this close without attempting a stroke with that blade is fishy, a key factor in Makoto determining to feint her first strike, opting instead to spring off the ground and over Hakumen, upside down. From here she attempts to lay a palm on the shoulder of what she assumes might be his main arm judging from the way he holds his blade, applying the full weight of her body afterwards as she twists in the air to bring a knee arcing for the side of his head.]
