[It doesn't take all that long to find the bird after that message on the network. Reno's just going to stand there folding his arms and shaking his head at Tobias.]

[Luckily for Tobias, someone usually checks the network in the library, so rather than answer, Asch is just going to get up and locate the terminal that has a bird in it. Chances are that Tobias hears him coming before he comes around the shelves.]

[Sometimes, her timing is just good. As luck would have it she rounds the corner just as Asch speaks, and so she goes over to the both of them, offering a hand to Asch as she approaches - she's shared mind reading with him once before, so she doesn't think he'll find it strange.]

Thanks. If I can't morph I can't heal injuries. I've had broken bones before and it's really bad.

You've both got me beat in that kind of experience. [Which is good for her, but not so much for them. She's not counting having her chest smashed in by retrieval units with hammers; that wasn't real, when all was said and done. At least that's how she's justifying it to herself.

What's more important right now is that they make sure Tobias is safe for the next week or so until he can morph again. Him being a bird, that could be sort of tough...] How are you going to be on food until you can morph again, Tobias? Will you need any help with that?

Believe me, it's not a competition I want to win. But food might be a problem. The weird animals that I usually hunt sometimes bite back, and I've gotten hurt pretty badly by them before.

[And he can't morph and eat the stuff in the cafeteria... ugh.]

[He squawks twice, and flies up to perch carefully on Reno's shoulder.]

[Since the cafeteria has no meat in it at all right now, which can't be good for a bird of prey. Also, carrots - Sheba can probably sense the flare-up of distaste for them even with her attention focused on Tobias.

[Oh, but Asch has already come up with a solution. The slight frown that had settled on her face as she tried to figure out what to do about Tobias's hunting problem fades away and is replaced by a smile.]

Oh, but if you and Asch go together, you'll be just fine. [She can very easily sense Asch's distaste for carrots - it's blatantly obvious.] I'd offer to hunt for you... but a lot of small animals don't taste very good after getting struck by lightning.
