[There's a bit of static before the video turns itself properly on, showing Soul sitting in the communications room. For a moment, it looks like he doesn't really know what to say, shoulders hunched slightly before he straightens himself a little.]

Um...I just wanted to say uh thanks to the guys who helped me look for Maka. S-she's not here, but I guess that's a good thing. Right?

[It looks like he's toying with a bottle in his hands, and the sound of something shaking inside it transfers over the network. He just got his anxiety medication from the infirmary and thought he'd drop by the communications room on the way back.]

Oh, um, my name's Soul. I just arrived a few days ago, and I'm staying in 01-06, so...I guess what I'm trying to say is...please treat me well? Or something like that. I mean if it's not too much of a bother...

Uh, then I should warn you...you're new, right? Make sure you sleep in your bed, or you'll get sick, fast.
