Taiki gave a tentative smile and nodded, "I am sure he is very nice." He listened carefully and nodded.

"I can do that! I want to help." He paused and then his eyes flickered uncerainty. "Are... are you going to fight them?"

Signless got up as Minato arrived. He had already had a demonstration of Minato's abilities, so he wasn't too worried about that. "Hey," he said in casual greeting. "Everything all right? I'm trying to put together a plan that's pretty much guaranteed to fail and result in our deaths... but we're going to give it a shot anyway. You game?"

Signless' scowl deepened a bit. "I wasn't trying to stop you," he growled. "Of course it's your choice. If it weren't your choice, I'd be saying 'Psi, you stay away from her or I'll beat you to within an inch of your sad, sorry excuse for a life'. I'm just expressing my opinion about the wisdom of fucking around with her when I know how fucking emotionally fragile you are to begin with!"

He slumped down a bit. "And I'll rescue you as many times as I have to, so shove that between your shame globes."

Despite his best efforts Ψiioniic cringed back a little from the force of Signless' growl. It had taken him a lot more effort than he wanted to admit to talk to the Condesce like she'd been a normal person he could show attitude towards. That didn't leave him much for dealing with his moirail's bursts of rage, even though he KNEW it wasn't really directed at him.

The last words let him recover a little, and he tightened his grip on his friend's shoulder. "I know you would. That'th why I'm going to the effort of making sure you don't HAVE to, tho that we're not getting ourselves killed every other night."

Suzaku gave a small shrug, "That's what we used to climb down the side of the tower, it worked; the sheets are thick enough." It probably was a stupid idea, it sounded like something out of a fairytale but really, they were working with limited suplies right now so had to improvise.

"If I have to," Signless said, glancing at Taiki out of the corner of his eye. "After what they did to all of us, I can't assume that they'll be interested in negotiation."

"Okay, I guess that's a plan, then." He sighed and tilted his head back. "What worries me most about this whole fucking thing is the way they can fuck with our heads. Maybe we can get around the locked doors and down the elevator shaft. Maybe we can figure out mundane ways of doing shit that don't involve our powers, since they can clearly nullify those any time they like. But what about if they make us see shit that isn't there? Or make us turn on each other by making us paranoid again? I don't know how to fight our own minds."

At the sight of the cringe, Signless reached out and dragged Psiioniic against him, papping his cheek lightly and giving a soft 'shoosh'. "I don't want to see you dying every two minutes, either. I just don't want you hurting, okay?"

Taiki nodded nervously, "I...understand..." And though he really wanted to try and plead with Signless to handle this non violently he did understand and anyways Signless was not his king, he did not have to listen to Taiki.

Talking of which, "I... I'm sorry... If there is fighting... I... I wont be able to fight... I can help... get you there but I can only... I can only commit violence on order of my king..." Not that he wanted to commit violence, ever the mere thought made him want to throw up and he hugged Gyousou's cloak tighter around him.

Suzaku nodded, it was difficult knowing people could effect your mind and also knowing that their power seemed to be unlimited. It was not like Geass, they didn't need eye contact, there were no limits to their power. They had full control but Suzaku remembered what the girl on the roof had said.

"Someone... someone pointed out to me that if they could fully control us they would not have had to do experiments. It seems... like they were a big thing and whatever mind control techniques they have, they are not perfect yet."

"I understand," Signless said without hesitation. "I'd never ask someone to fight if they weren't up to it. And no offense, but you're not the most intimidating alien I've ever seen. I think we can manage to deal with any violence that comes up without you throwing yourself into the fray."

Signless perked up a little. "You have a good point. It took them weeks this time. Maybe that's because they couldn't do it any faster." He didn't like to be optimistic, because it meant he was usually disappointed, but that did sound plausible. "There could have been something in the food, too. It's not magic. Maybe."

Taiki nodded again and stared at his feet, "I know... I'm sorry... I'm not really that useful..."

He didn't look up but took another nervous breath, though this troll had been nice to him Taiki didn't want him thinking he was completely useless.

"Also... if... if you do fight," Which he hoped they wouldn't, he wanted to bury his head in the cloak as well but instead just drew it even tighter around him, "If... if there is blood... I might... Kirin get ill when there is blood. You don't... have to worry Sanshi can help me but... I thought you might need to know." Instead of Taiki just fainting on them, which wouldn't really be helpful at all.

"Sorry..."

Suzaku nodded, "If it is through the food then there is not much we can do..." There was no any physical way to get food that wasn't given to them by the tower.

"They didn't experiment on everyone... perhaps there are some whose minds can not be controled, we should perhaps try and find them..."

Because if there was at least a couple of people who couldn't be controled they could attempt to stop the others from losing it completely.

"Are you kidding? You're the lynchpin of the whole operation." He rested a hand on Taiki's shoulder. "How about this. You get us into the elevator and get the door open. After that, you just go off and do whatever Kirin like to do when they're not helping in something incredibly, stupidly dangerous. What happens after that, you won't be there to get sick or hurt."

"Right, but if it's in the food, then they shouldn't be able to trigger it whenever they like. They'd have to put whatever it is in our food again and wait weeks. Assuming that's all it was."

He sighed. "Maybe there are some people who can't be controlled, but we don't know who they are. Some people might just not have been experimented on. Like a...control group or whatever the fuck they call it."

Taiki gave a tiny smile at that and nodded, he felt a little bad about helping them get somewhere dangerous and then leaving them to it, but it was the best he could help. "Thank you," he said quietly.

Suzaku nodded, he really didn't understand this at all. He had no idea how wide spread mind control like this could work, it wasn't like Geass, not that Suzaku really understood that either.

"It is a worrying thought," because if they were experimenting they were experimating for something and if physically altering people and then turning friends on each other was just the experiment he didn't really want to know what they were planning.

There's the slightest of smiles at what Signless says from Minato. For one, he didn't fear death. He never had--in fact, he was supposed to die eventually to begin with, so it wasn't as though this was some horrific breaking announcement. Instead, he nods once more.

"... Of course. Lucky for us that I doubt a gravestone will be necessary, considering how quickly they raise the dead."

It's somewhat hard to tell if he's joking or not, considering his deadpan tone, but at the very least, he is certainly serious in regards to helping with this plan.

He grinned at Taiki in return. Honestly, if the kid was this fragile and pacifistic, he was just as glad not to bring him along into the dangerous part. He'd just be dead weight at that point, and something to protect.

"Not a problem," he said, and got to his feet. "So I'd be curious to see a demonstration of your powers, if you don't have anything better to do."

"What's a gravestone?" Signless asked with distant curiosity.

He shrugged. "So the idea is to use Taiki's power to walk through walls - you know that kid? - and get ourselves into the staff elevator. Then we're going to either try to operate the elevator ourselves, or if we can't, then we'll rappel down the shaft with bedsheet ropes and raise a little hell."

"No kidding. This whole fucking thing is worrying," Signless said with a growl. "In the way in which it's fucking terrifyingly disturbing."

He ran a hand through his curls and shrugged. "So we can't hang our hats on finding someone who's immune, but that's something we should try to figure out if we can."

Taiki smiled again and stood up as well looking up at the troll. "Alright Signless." There was a small gust of wind and the cloak that had covered the small child floated to the ground, landing on a pile of clothes.

Instead of a small child there stood a black horned beast. "What do you want me to do first?" The beast spoke.

Suzaku nodded agreeing completely. "It is something we can look into I guess."

"When are we going to do this then?"

It took Minato a moment to realize he'd forgotten that Signless may not know about human customs. "It's a stone marking that humans generally place over where the dead are buried," he said, nonchalant.

In other words, an attempt at humor. But that wasn't what was important at the moment, he realized, and instead, shook his head at the initial question on knowing Taiki. Still, it wasn't the most solid plan, but it was one.

"If we can get in, that sounds like it may get us somewhere." The plan meets with his approval, if nothing else, because he hates standing still. "They might also be storing information in the restricted areas," he added. Though one question did remain in his mind...

"What's your idea of 'raising hell,' exactly?" If he wanted to, he could probably freeze the walls solid or set off a high energy spell, if it was destruction.
