[Erik isn't in talking to any of you. Not verbally, at least. So he resorts to text, at one of the terminals.
Normally, he wouldn't contact anyone, at all.
But he's noticed that the population of the Tower has suddenly gone down--people missing. Things gone.
This includes one Charles Xavier.]
[He's attempting to gather information. He needs to know that they are actually back home, and not taken out for some other sort of experiment. He wouldn't be surprised if it's the latter, though for Charles's sake, he hopes it's the former.]

I assume most of you are astute to notice some people are gone.
Does anyone know exactly when they disappeared?
Or if anyone saw them leave. [He's attempting to gather information. He needs to know that they are actually back home, and not taken out for some other sort of experiment. He wouldn't be surprised if it's the latter, though for Charles's sake, he hopes it's the former.]

[text]
I just got here, so I wouldn't know to notice.
What do you think happened to them?
[text]
I don't trust this. Something isn't right.
[text]
I'm concerned. It would not be so easy to escape this place...
[text]
I don't know.
But I don't think they went home.
It's just what they want us to believe.
[text]
I completely agree. This place has done something with them.
We just need to figure out where they are being kept.
[text]
It wouldn't be.
There is no way this place let those people leave. This place is made to break us.
Which means they've been taken somewhere.
We have to find them. Now.
[text]
Yeah, not so sure I'm buying that one myself.
If you have something of someone's, I can try to tell you where they are now.
[text]
Everything of his is gone.
But can I ask what ability you have that would allow you to find him?
[text]
I tried anyway, but I didn't get anything. I think the tower really doesn't like locator spells.
I'm a witch. A good witch. It's probably easier to ask what I won't do than what I can't do.
[text]
Impressive.
I have the ability to control magnetism. It's a genetic mutation--the man I'm attempting to find has a mutation that provides him telepathy.
[text]
Sometimes it's impressive, sometimes it's just scary.
Really? I've never heard of people with mutations. Magic is mostly learned. That's pretty cool. Can I have your names? I'm Willow Rosenberg. I'll try to keep an eye out for everyone.
[text]
They are only finding out about us in the time I come from.
Erik Lehnsherr.
[A pause, then.]
Jewish.[First he's met in a long while.]
[text]
What time is that? Once in a while Sunnydale had people with abilities like what you're talking about, but they usually ended up being murderous if we heard of them. Not exactly the hold a conversation type.
Oh, hi! I haven't been very Jewish in a while, but I think I'd be disowned if I didn't at least show up for Yom Kippur and Hanukkah every year. Ira and Sheila Rosenberg are a little traditional that way. Are you doing anything while we're stuck here? I think it's getting to be that time, isn't it?
[text]
Considering how humans are attempting to exterminate us, I think we should be given some slack.
1962.
It's been a long time since I celebrated. But I wouldn't be adverse to it.
[It reminds him a great deal of his mother, of times that he's had to put far behind him. But--there is a tug, deep within. That makes him want to.]
[text]
I think we must be from different worlds. Most humans don't even know vampires are real, and they're way more common than people with supernatural abilities. When I say they were murderous I mean we tried to speak to them, and they were more interested in the killing.
Wow, that's pretty far back. It was 2003 for me.
We don't have to do anything fancy, but I think observance is important. If you want to do something simple together I wouldn't mind.
[text]
I wouldn't be surprised. I've never met a vampire in my time.
...
I'd like that, a great deal.
[He's debating on telling her. Truly. It's...something so far removed from her, being from 2003. He decides against it. That's a conversation for in person, if at all.]
[text]
You're not really missing anything. If you do meet one, wood to the heart, decapitation, fire, or sunlight. Almost all of them are soulless (literally) and would probably think of you as a novelty snack.
Great. Let's get your friend back, and then we'll have something to celebrate. I have some candles we can use.
[Willow's not going press. She's a smart girl and can put two and two together on the time frame, and anyway, she just met him. She's just happy to find more people to spend time with; she gets lonely easily.]
[text]
I'll take note.
If they truly have gone back home, getting him back here isn't necessarily something to celebrate.
[Erik doesn't do well around people, most of the time. Not overly adjusted to social situations. But Willow seems pleasant enough.]
[text]
But that doesn't line up. They obviously want to keep us here - that's why they told us our worlds were destroyed, so we wouldn't try to find a way home. They're ruining their own story by saying they sent people back.
I know I'm new, but that seems pretty fishy to me.
[text]
I just hope it's possible to get to them, somehow.
[text]
I've been going from the top, down.
No sign.
My friend is in a wheelchair--I can...I can sense the chair, most of the time.
But now, nothing.
[text]
You haven't been here long enough--but that strange voice--I don't think it's the other two who have spoken to us.
There seems to be more than just one force at work, here.
[text]
Dissent within the enemy ranks? Huh.
Might be easier if we could speak to them consistently. Someone mentioned there was someone stuck in the computer network or something?
[text]
[text]
...
I have a feeling that if they'd have left, it wouldn't have been like this.
[text]
But he doesn't. He isn't sure why.]
Erik Lehnsherr.[text]
I have no idea. Charles spoke with them once, but that's the extent of my knowledge.[text]
I don't, either.
Agreed.
We simply have to start looking. Everywhere.
[And he wishes he had more direction than that.]
[text]
That's your friend that's missing? I'll have to ask him when he shows up again.
Have people disappeared before?
[text]
Right.
...not that I've noticed.
But I've been distracted.
[text]
It happens.
Let me know if you need me for anything? I'll tell you if I find something.
[text]
Let us hope that we find them, and quickly.
[text]
Of course.
And it goes the same way. We need to stick together.
[text]
All right.
The name is Erik.
[text]
Exactly. I'll be happy to work with you, Erik.[text]
... It is... nice to meet you, Erik, even if the situation is bad. Let us hope we succeed.
