I spent some time looking through the network backlog and tracking down the posts that the tower administrators have made before, and I have to say, I'm underwhelmed. A whole lot of ambiguous morals, incoherent and vaguely creepy requests for user log in, and a distressed child. Not a whole lot of answers.

So who's been around for a while? Is there anyone that's been here the longest? And do you have anything to add to the above, because I'm all ears. Even if we can't find a way out, it's worth trying to pool our information.

Before anyone asks why I'm saying this on the network that they presumably monitor, hey, I'd love to talk to them.

In the meantime I'm going to see if I can find out what keeps putting this thing on the fritz every so often, because it's majorly annoying, and also may be connected to something. Anyone computery want to help me out with that?

A while back, I did try to ask around to get an estimate of how long there have been people in the Tower. The highest I found was an estimate of six months, though unfortunately no one could tell for sure; we don't seem to have any sort of calendar dating system here.

Unfortunately, other than that I don't have any information that can be helpful without several degrees of separation. And I am by no definition 'computery', either, so I cannot help there.

But if you like, we can meet in person if you find anything of interest. I have been trying to collect various mundane and notorious pieces of information about the Tower, so anything you see or theorize would be welcome.

Are you sure? I was thinking of doing it myself, but I'm a little worried about the consequences. Considering they sent a bunch of people into hell nightmare versions of home when they were trying to help, not so eager to incite wrath unless I have to.

You did? Six months plus however long since you asked is not really that long for something this big. Usually there's some kind of precedent, potentially several centuries of precedent.

I would love to meet up and exchange whatever info there is to exchange! I've been doing some research in the library on related topics, but it isn't been too fruitful. Or at all fruitful. You probably have a lot more than me, but at least I can bring my hefty Hellmouth experience to the table. The weird and uncommon, I am very familiar with.

I came to the same conclusion, actually, but the tower doesn't seem like it has been heavily worn out before the current residents started coming in.

Most of my time is spent in the library, so it is possible that we have actually seen one another before. Regardless, my name is Ienzo and I would be pleased to meet up with you any time you wish to talk. My life has been fairly mundane until coming here, so your input is valuable.

I am a witch but he was probably also being a smartass. That's how we met-- he didn't believe me and I proved it to him by spiffying up his clothes with a wave of my hand. All, poof.

They also seem like they've kind of made a mess of things and don't know what they're doing, based on their previous posts. Not the most indicative of experience doing this before.

A library buddy! I'm Willow, we probably have seen each other. A Hellmouth is a portal that leads to a hell dimension, typically closed. (When it's open, you know about it.) The town I live in has one, so all sorts of interesting demony shenanigans goes down.

Well, yes, I did. It was a little reckless, to be honest, I mean I haven't done any self-transfiguration to that extent before.

It's a hard call when I don't know whether or not I agree with why you want to do it. Let's go over that part first.

Right. This is probably their first time working with such magic or technology, whatever has brought us here and kept the Tower in working order [he uses this term loosely -- very loosely] until now. One would think that they would have had the foresight to familiarize themselves with their tools before taking such lengths, though it may simply be that they didn't have enough time.

Demons? That is quite unusual -- and, now that you mention it, I recall that my world had a similar problem when I left. It was an extremely troublesome monster infestation; we didn't know what they were or where they came from. It may be possible that they came from a Hellmouth as well, though unlikely; someone else I met here knew about them, and said that they were generally called Unversed, not simply demons.

Of course I'll share anything! That was always in the game plan. If I found some sudden mystical boat ride home, I wouldn't leave all of you here. Or if I found who the big bad was, I think it should be a joint effort to show them what for.

So what sort of a thing is it that you're doing? Looking into things, or returning favors?

When did that happen? I never heard about that.

It definitely seems very rushed. More like my first time doing magic when I was in high school than anything I do now. It makes me wonder why they bothered with us in the first place.

If we run on the assumption that our worlds weren't really destroyed, what are they getting out of telling us that? Do they believe it themselves? And if our worlds were destroyed, I really don't know why they bothered saving us, because anyone doing it magnanimously would, I don't know, sit us down for tea and tell it to us nicely, not leave us a vague letter and never show up again ever.

As for demons, I can at least say it probably wasn't a Hellmouth? They don't just appear one day; they've been around forever. We have records of Spanish explorers hundreds of years ago that thought something funky was going on in the area. So I guess they might really be "Unversed", which frankly sounds ominous to me. I hope you guys can clear them out.

There is always the possibility that they simply can't tell us what is happening. It may be that they are being restricted from telling us anything about the tower based on orders from another party. Or, they could be lying about everything and simply pulling the wool over all of our eyes. There is no reason I can think of that they would simply choose not to tell us, unless they are trying to intentionally provoke unease among the populace.

I learned upon coming to the tower that these monsters caused trouble in several connected worlds, so it may be that you are right and they are two separate entities. For obvious reasons, I haven't been able to get any updates on the state of the world, but it seems as if some creatures that resemble the Unversed have come into the Tower now.
