[The computer network is up again. Chihiro is very much on his element and has been at one of the terminals all day. He takes a break from trying to hack into the tower to make the following video message.

The video feed turns on to show a young 'girl' smiling sweetly.]

Good morning, everyone! My name is Chihiro Fujisaki and there are several things I was wondering if anyone could help me with.

Firstly, is there anyone here who could teach me some sort of self defense? I don't really mind what kind and am willing to try anything! I would just really like to be able to defend myself without having to rely on someone else all the time.

Secondly, I was told that there's someone here who can build anything. Does anyone know where I might find him or contact him?

Lastly... would anyone be willing to teach me how to cook? Just simple meals would suffice. I'm afraid the the current menu is a bit... [too exciting for his rather delicate constitution... He laughs a bit in embarrassment.]

Sure there are! It's just that those usually play against other girl teams. [ not that Leon would mind watching girls while playing baseball, obviously. ] But it's not like I can refuse when you're asking with that kind of face..!

[Chihiro will be there early and seeing that there's no one around, he starts swinging an imaginary bat.]

[ Leon arrives later - of course, he's always late.. But he's at least carrying all the things with him. He didn't bother to change into his baseball uniform since he thinks that thing is pretty unflattering on him, but he brought his glove, bat and a few balls, which he all drops into the grass the moment he's near Chihiro. ]

Yo! I thought all of this stuff might be a little too big for you to use, but then again, it's not like there's any other baseball stuff here, so.. it'll be fine one way or another!

[He turns round to greet him.]

Kuwata-kun!

Mn! It's alright. I don't mind.

[ See, Chihiro's always pretty agreeable, that already puts him in a better mood.. and hey, he's playing baseball, that's fun even if he'll never admit it. ]

So.. Do you want to practice pitching or batting first? I don't really think either of them is more difficult than the other one, so it's just about what seems more like fun to you.

I'd like to try batting first! [as that seems more useful somehow...]

[ At that he picks up the bat, holding it out to Chihiro. ]

Here! .. Oh, it's probably sort of heavy for you though, are you sure you'll be okay? [ since 'she' is a girl and all.. or so Leon thinks.. and it's a metal bat, so it's pretty heavy either way. ]

[He takes it... it really is rather heavy... but, he's been weight training a little so he can handle it! For now anyway...]

Mn! I'm okay!

[ It's already pretty impressive, really, Leon wasn't even sure if Chihiro would be able to hold it.. ]

Make sure to hold onto it with both hands, okay? Then all you have to do is just hold it in front of you and swing when the ball is there!

[ .. yes, his explanation isn't the bad, but.. he knows nothing about posture, okay, it just comes naturally to him. ]

Both hands... [He grips the bat tightly with both hands] Hold it in front and swing... [He tries swinging it a bit but almost loses his balance, that thing really is heavy...]

[ Oh no, don't fall over, Mondo will kill Leon if there's a single scratch or bruise on Chihiro..

Maybe it's what makes Leon grab the bat instead before taking a distance from Chihiro so he won't hit him. ]

Here, just watch! It's done like this! [ And there he goes, gripping the bat and swinging-- it's a good swing, of course, with his talent. Just from the way it looks it already seems powerful. ]

[and he is very impressed!] I see! Can I try?

Sure, here!

[ handing the bat back to Chihiro-- he's glad for the admiration, okay. ]

[And he tries his best to mimic Leon's moves... failing so far though... at least he's managing to keep his balance.]

Well.. I guess you're getting there. [ Leon, at least be a little more supportive.. ]

You need to make sure to hold the bat tightly so you can put all your strength into it!

Really? Mn! Okay! [And he tightens his grip and tries swinging the bat again. That's a little better.]

There you go! [ except now he's itching for some action too, so.. ] Now let's try hitting an actual ball, okay? I'll throw one at you.

[he laughs happily] I did it! Mn! Okay! I can do this!

[ At that Leon is already walking away a little to create some distance between them, since else he can't properly throw, of course!

.. But then again, Leon seems to be forgetting he should maybe go a little easy on someone who literally just started playing.. he's getting so fired up by the moment that when he throws the ball, he just does it at his usual speed and strength. Which means the ball flies so quickly towards Chihiro (not at Chihiro himself though, thank god, but just at the area where his bat should be..) that it almost looks like it's on fire or something. ]

[All colour drains from Chihiro's face when he see that ball coming at him at such a great speed and he ducks. He can't help it. It's instinctive!]

[ And so the ball flies over Chihiro, and then waaay past him.. until it finally lands on the other end of the meadow, a huge distance away from the two of them. ]

... Huh? [ just staring blankly, he still doesn't get what was wrong about this.. ] You got to swing the bat or it won't work, you know!
