Tower Floor Guide
[Video]
[While seeming oddly distracted, there is a smile on Diarmuid's face when he addresses the Network.]
My thanks to all those who helped with making copies of the Tower Floor Guide in the library over the last few days. While I don't know how long the copies posted to the actual floors will last, hopefully we will more easily be able to keep copies in the libraries, cafeteria, and lounges so that when people need them, they can find them. It probably goes without saying, but my thanks also goes out to those who have offered to watch and replenish the stacks should they get low.
As I mentioned in my last post, once the physical copies were made I wanted to put a copy of the guide onto the Network so that we have at least one permanent copy. That is what this post is for.
In the end, I decided to keep the presentation of the information simple so we could get in as much as possible. Anyone who looks over the guide and notices missing or incorrect information, please let me know by posting here. Posts can be made anonymously since I know that the things these floors do to us are often very painful and personal in nature. I will update all information as soon as I can once it is posted.
Anyone who wishes to repost this information as new people arrive, please feel free to do so. I want it to be kept where as many people as possible can see it. My thanks goes out to those who have volunteered to watch over this post to keep it from being tampered with.
Please feel free to contact me about the guide if there are any questions, comments, or concerns. I can be reached through this post, my mailbox which is #0091, or by stopping by my room which is #4-16.
(OOC: As mentioned in his other post, if anyone has questions about what can and cannot be done with the guide, please see this OOC Post. Because of events that will happen in game after this post, while I will be tagging responses right away, please consider none of them having ICly come until late on the 21st/early on the 22nd. Thanks!)

[ She's pretty impressed. It must have taken months of hard work. ]
I'll be sure to repost it for any newcomers. This guide will come in handy for them! Thank you for doing this, you and whoever else helped you.

[Diarmuid smiles, though he looks rather tired.]
I appreciate your help. How have you been? I haven't seen you around much lately. Of course, I have been very busy working on this and...other things.
video;
I've been fine. It's hard keeping up with activity around the tower. I heard about the collar boycott but it's obvious I missed more than that. Mind filling me in?
video;
[His look grows concerned.]
How are you doing now? A lot has happened, yes, but regaining your strength is very important too. So many have been lost lately... It will take all of us who remain to continue the work.
Where would you like me to start? I can't talk about everything that has happened over the Network. It's not safe, but a lot is already common knowledge. You mention the boycott. There have also been a lot of people who have been sent from the Tower lately. I hope that none of your friends were among that number. I know how much they mean to you.
video;
[ She just shakes her head a bit. ]
I'm doing fine. I've been trying to find out how the others are doing, the ones from my world. As I said, so much has happened lately, I have no idea if they've gotten involved with the troible that's been brewing.
[ Mami stops speaking, frowning. ]
I've noticed the numbers decreasing. That's why I've been trying to check in on everyone. Anyway, all I really know about is the collar boycott. Tell me what you can over the network. Maybe we can meet up later, if you're not busy of course.
video;
[He falls quiet for a few moments, pondering what he should start telling Mami about first.]
Did you know that Zo visited us one day? He spent some time in the cafeteria and talked to quite a few people before he left again.
video;
[ Pause. ]
Really? What's he like, anyway?
video;
[Even if the point of the meeting would be to discuss things that shouldn't be talked about in the open.]
Zo really came off to me as he always has. He is a child. A child with extraordinary powers and knowledge that one his age probably shouldn't have, but a child nonetheless. There was a retrieval unit with him, which was probably for the best since not everyone can be trusted not to try and hurt him.
[Diarmuid doesn't mention that the unit was not like one he had ever seen before. Chipped collar and all...]
I really didn't find out much from him. Perhaps I should have asked different questions, but my main concern was finding out if he would suffer for whatever actions we took this month. This happened just as people were starting to organize the collar boycott, you see.
video;
[ She listens, nodding her head. ]
Mn, that's true. It's nice that he came down to answer some questions - the questions he could answer after all. I'm guessing with the retrieval unit, no one tried to hurt him.
What was his answer? [ Or was that something they needed to discuss in person? ]
video;
[Diarmuid pauses a moment, thinking back over the conversation.]
He seemed pretty convinced he wouldn't be blamed for anything, or even if he was no one would do anything to him. I almost suspect that if they did, they would have to answer to Ruana. After what happened to Dax, I think the last thing any of them want to do is make her mad.
video;
That's true. That's the last thing we need - her mad. [ She was probably already mad with everything else that's been going on. ]
video;
[Diarmuid can hope anyway.]
Right now, I am more worried about Jason being so upset. Have you seen the voice post that showed up on the Network between he and Zo? I expect next month is going to be very unpleasant. Even more so than usual for his months.
video;
I have. I got an unpleasant feeling when I was watching it. Of course it's going to be unpleasant, he is angry after all. [ And all those innocent souls will have to suffer as well. ] I can't even imagine what he'll do this time around.
video;
[Oh, like say several containers of collar fluid, though Diarmuid won't say this out loud. Something to discuss with her when they meet up.]
On the other hand...he might be angry enough that we won't be able to act on any of what we gained for who knows how long. Hopefully, we won't lose what so many suffered to gain in the meantime.
