[ Guess who has already settled well into his apartment? Wilhelm has set himself up into a nice little corner, with a desk, a small phonograph playing some rather old music, and a strange, golden disc, complete with two rotating circles similar to a sextant, and a green, translucent cube made of energy. ]

What a fascinating world this is.

[ Wilhelm muses, though his face isn't quite in the camera; just the left half of his body, and the bottom part of his chin visible as he rests it in his palm. One of the circles of the Compass is rotating madly, while the other is only slowly turning. ]

The collective unconscious has become difficult to read. I find it difficult to believe that my world was destroyed, but the collective unconscious has never been this uncooperative before.

[ Despite the fact that he's been ripped out of his own world and into one entirely unfamiliar to him, he seems... calm. Perhaps even content. The truth is, he's feeling absolutely devastated right now, due to him knowing that somehow, he might have failed at his mission. Only one person here will be able to tell, though; and it's the only person here mentally connected to him that can tell his true emotions beneath the pokerface. ]

Might I ask what became of my own world? Or how it met its fate?

[Part of what drew April's attention to this post is the music and the... disc thing. April is very fond of music and that disc thing is unlike any sort of tech or anything she's seen before. So she has to force herself not to stare at it when she answers.]

Um, nobody really knows how. And there have been a few people that have been sent back home for a while and it was a barren wasteland, but that might just be another trick that the Administrators here pulled.

[There's a small child dressed as a pirate flicking on the video of one of the computers. What can't be seen is that she's balanced carefully on a pair of roller blades.]

I don't understand none'a what you said but yeah, your world is gone. Dead. Destroyed. At least, that's what most'a the people here believe. I dunno what to think.

Who knows.

On one hand it might have been destroyed. On the other, it could very well be a ruse by our captors while they pretend to be benevolent. The possibility of worlds ending exists and is conceivable, but to say so many might have ended in succession...that leaves room for a bit of consideration.

And it is good to know someone might provide music here on a wider scale. Do you only have Wagner?

[ It's a statement, not a question. Wilhelm examines her face over the camera. She's young; that much is obvious. And she's wearing roller blades. These people are even bringing children here? ]

Is it a simple lack of gullibility, I wonder? Or do you know more than you are implying?

I have already concluded that the people who inhabit this world are not of my own universe. The only other explanation is inter-dimensional destruction, and that does not seem plausible to me.

[ He blinks, somewhat amused by the question. ]

I have a special fondness for Wagner.

I haven't found any evidence pointing one way or the other.

[Then again, Nigredo hasn't been here long enough to know; or at least entirely find out. Just like Wilhelm he seems much too calm about that.]

[ Well, that's interesting. Wilhelm's expression softens a bit as he sees the young Gaignun Kukai. Either Gaignun somehow gaines Rubedo's power of eternal youth, or... ]

You mean you do not know, Nigredo?

[This is the second time someone has done that: call him by his name, people he doesn't know. It's... unnerving? To say the least. Allen had done it. It sends a strange, unsure shiver down his spine.]

[To a degree he knows what "the collective unconscious" is. But only to a degree. It hasn't been that long since the Miltian Conflict (for Nigredo); he knows that U-DO isn't an A.I. But that's the farthest from Nigredo's mind in that moment.

Instantly, if but fractionally, that calm becomes a closed off defense.]

A little bit. My ancestor, Princess Zelda, is here, and the Hero of Time. Two of 'em actually. And Ganondork, even though I saw Link stab him in the face.

[Just barely ten years old, really. And under the watchful eye of just about everyone from Hyrule when they can watch her.]

I don't know much'a nothin' about this place. I seen some weird stuff since I got here. My best friend and Zelda and a couple other Links were killed my first day here but they're okay now.

Some of them are of mine. So I've not found myself surrounded entirely by strangers.

[And then again strangers only in that Lucifer had no personal contact with them beforehand. Lucifer had found often enough in his long life that others generally fell into certain categories. Into certain clichés he supposed and that you could know someone and be familiar with them just by knowing their point of view, even if the face was different.

It might be highly plausible somehow and I'd still doubt it. They give us their word and that's all they give us and expect us to treat it like cardinal truth.

Pretty much. There's been monitors set up on the... [A few moments pause as she tries to remember which floor.] ... fifth floor that have monitors showing our worlds and the supposed dead states they're in, but that's probably another trick too.

[ He isn't even remotely as interested in her past as he is in that next bit. ]

If my world were to be destroyed, it would not be a barren wasteland. It would be nonexistent.

The Lower Domain of the Universe would have collapsed. It would have ceased to exist.

I do not rely upon others for the truth. Under normal circumstances, there are no secrets of my universe hidden from me. Here, however, the collective unconscious seems unwilling to allow me to observe.

[ He tilts his head. ]

I enjoy other composers. Bach, Beethoven, Mozart.

[ Wilhelm's eyes narrow for a moment. He seems genuinely surprised; and if anyone knows how to tell when someone is lying, it's Wilhelm. Gaignun - or rather, Nigredo - isn't lying. It's as if he honestly doesn't know who he is. ]

So... if your world was destroyed, the universe, or part of it, would have been destroyed as well?

Yep. Just ask around, I'm sure you'll find a ton of people that have died. I haven't died yet though so I can't tell you much about it 'cept what I did.
