[The voice that comes onto the network is that of a younger-sounding girl, though it's crackled and rough, as though the person it belongs to just got done screaming themselves hoarse.]

You'd think someone with the ability to rescue people from a "dying world" would have the decency to maintain a friendly and helpful world themselves. Hospitality. No mental, emotional, or physical torture. From what I've seen through this network and in person, though, perhaps my expectations should have not been so high.

At least the food is satisfactory.

[There's a pause.]

Though, Val is a trooper. As much as I wanted to rip apart her processors a good chunk of the time, she did help us. [She makes no effort to explain who "Val" is, figuring anyone who wouldn't know isn't from the Facility at all, and thus not really worth her time.] It's rather hard to believe that she'd just get blasted away so easily, after she held us there for so long. I don't know about the rest of you, but this 'your world has been destroyed' theory seems like an awful lot of tomfoolery.

[Another pause, the rest of her words being said deliberately in French to bypass the auto-translator.]

No rest for the wicked, but there's no rest for the heroes, either.

You know, I've been checking the network pretty frequently since I arrived here, but this is the first thing I've seen that I'm genuinely curious about. Who the hell is this Val you're expecting us to know about? And I suppose I agree, but I think everything they tell us is bullshit anyway.
