*Enoch had finally been reminded of the network earlier in the day, and what had happened reminded him of something he wanted to get out there.

So here he is on the video feed, looking mildly distressed, but for the most part composed.*

The theory about the phantoms here...I don't believe it's true. They have a vaguely human shape, but I never saw any resemblance to...to the person its voice belonged to. As well, I was with someone else when we were attacked earlier, and we each heard different voices from the same phantom.

It must be an illusion.

*He appeared after the meeting, didn't he? Enoch looks tired as he responds to Kotetsu.* They're mist-like apparitions that hunt at night. They'll call to you in the voice of a friend or loved one...

[They mimic a loved one...that's not good. Someone who's trapped here for a while with a broken spirit would fall victim in a snap.]

Mist? How are we supposed to fight mist?

They can't be fought...they dispel any sort of inhuman ability when they're near. We have no choice but to avoid them instead.

*While Enoch has figured out how to open a video feed now, and has known for some time how to reply to one in kind, he decides to wait on searching for the function to turn one off, so Dextera will see him type as he responds.

It's probably an obvious option, but he obviously doesn't think it's necessary. As such, the hesitation to gather his thoughts and emotions into words is absolutely plain, as is the emotion itself, the distress on his face that doesn't match the way his words come out in the end.*

I do not know if they appear in the daytime, but they are most visible when they hunt at night, when they call out to their prey in the voices of their loved ones.

*How old is this person, he wonders. Enoch looks a bit disquieted as he types to the unseen person on the other end.*

They don't pursue very far, so if you hear or see one, keep your distance.

*Enoch got a feeling of innocence from his words, whatever the case. He visibly relaxes a bit (even if "relax" means relaxing to neutral) as he reads the acknowledgment. He's taught someone to avoid them...that's got to be worth something.*

What phantoms exactly are you referring to?

The monsters that hunt at night. They call out in the voices of friends and loved ones...

I have yet to come across such creatures, and hopefully I never will.

Then I hope you never do as well. Encountering one, even knowing what they are...isn't pleasant.

So, that is why the Compass is behaving oddly as of late.

It allows me to observe the Collective Unconscious. However, the Collective Unconscious of this world is far too erratic and unstable to interpret properly. I am unused to it.
