As the girl before me said, how does it matter? If by now you do not know they are dead, it means you probably didn't know them in the first place.

They're still people. That's why it matters to know how many and who they are.

Am I to believe that back in your homeworld, you cared about every single death? About people dying at the other side of the planet and you never saw before?

I doubt it. People die everyday, and you do not even know it. Your life keeps going, blissfully unaware of what death and destruction happens elsewhere. The situation in this tower is not any different.

Most of those who died in your homeworld, you did not know them. You did not know they died. You did not even know they lived. As a consequence, you did not shed a single tear for any of them and didn't give them a thought. You are simply pretending to care for them all to feel like better. To feel like a greater man and satisfy your own craving to be what is commonly called a 'good person'. That is what we call hypocrisy.

Furthermore, one's happiness emerges from another's misery. Your perfect world is but a delusion.

A delusion?! It's not! Everyone can be happy! It's completely possible! Everyone has to work together that's all and forget about their hate! You...YOU'RE JUST LAZY! You probably just sit around pointing out what you think are mistakes because you're either too cynical or angry that someone can care more then you ever could!

Your world is gone, your people dead and their corpses rotting on the ground. I have seen it with my own eyes and am not enough of a fool to deny reality.

Everyone has to work together? Forget about their hate? Your purpose is noble, alas what you lack once more is reality. This will never happen. Only in fairy tales may you see such endings, and yet even then you'll note that the ending is caused by the unavoidable death or banishment of the antagonist.

Cynical and angry? I may be at times. But not about the idea that 'someone can care more than I ever could'. I do not care.

Unlike you, I am not lying to myself and I do not pretend to be something I am not. But at the very least I do hope your fantasy helps you fall asleep at night.
