Interesting that our captors were so kind enough to give us some information. I wonder now just how well received this sadistic turn of events has played out among the masses. How long do they intend to keep up this lunacy? I am curious, however. Has anyone met our most gracious hosts face to face? A pity if they decide to hide behind their protective walls. I would shake their hand.

I would say that the "some" you're referring to is the entire population. Have they not learned that fear kills the mind?

Point taken. Anger is an understandable reaction. The only reason I say "all" and not "some" or other generalized terms is simple. It is natural for those that choose not to speak up to hide out of that fear. Take you for example. You are hiding by being anonymous. It's really no concern of mine your reasons why. Perhaps you have the same impression of me by my choice to use text. Am I wrong?

being anonymous won't hide me from the administrators. they can figure out who you are despite that.

I see. The cloak of anonymity does grant some allusions through confidence. I'm not entirely interested in learning about the inevitable outcome of discovery through insurgence. What I am interested in is learning why we are here. Why they pick and choose people from time streams parallel to others that have little to do with the worlds they come from. A thin veil of lunacy and doubt is created. I wonder what this Tower intends to achieve. These letters prove nothing more than another factor to create doubt. It's a marvelous plan if anyone was gullible enough to believe them.

the information we have tell us that this is a rescue mission. that there is something out there destroying the other worlds, and bringing us here is a mercy.

the selection is seemingly random. everyone here is from a different world, even if there are people that seem to be from your own timeline and past.

Huh. I find that intrinsically improbably at best. Yet, if what you're saying is true, then it's possible. I am curious. Two people from my world yet a different reality string are here. One I knew as the central computer system. The other was my moral enemy. Oddly, the enemy turned out to become an ally. I don't like the possibility that everything is false. I'm alive here. Going back isn't an option for me anyway. The random selection makes me feel like I was picked up from Darwin's grab bag than out of mercy.
