[The video feed comes on first, for an instant showing Kariya's gaunt, haggard face. The left half of it is badly scarred, wasted away, the muscles slack, his left eye dull and pale. He blinks, then frowns at the screen, and the video cuts off as he switches to voice. He didn't mean to show himself.]

Hello. My name is Kariya Matou.

I know so many of you have been suffering, and I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything that's been done to you. If there's anything I can do to help, I'll try to do it. Even if you just want someone to talk to. I don't think we should be alone here.

[He pauses to catch his breath, a little winded. He's not really sure how to broach his next subject, but he forges ahead.]

There's a question I want to ask, too. If someone could help me-- I have a condition, and I was wondering... If any of you know anything about magical healing, can you contact me? Thank you.

It is. It's gross. [He wishes he didn't have to deal with it, but he does. It wasn't what he wanted, but it was what he'd chosen to do. For someone else's sake.]

They won't. The ones in me won't go into anyone else. [The other worms were another matter, but they weren't here. His were almost bonded to him, in their way.]

Yeah, sorry. I wish I could.

mmm... [ She nodded slightly. She wished he didn't have to deal with it either because it was just downright creepy how they were all in his body. She felt bad for him. ]

Ohhh....but it's still kind of you know...haha.

[ She laughed nervously. ]

I'm at the clinic right now, if you would like to stop there or I can meet you in private if you prefer that.

That's all right.

I know--it's strange. If something starts to go wrong, we'll stop.

I can come to the clinic. I know where it is. That might be easier.

Well, it's pretty bizarre case since I'm not all too used to it, hehe

[ She laughed nervously as she rubbed the back of her head. ]

Sure, we'll do that since I don't want you in any critical condition.

Alright, I'll be there when you come up. Please be careful on the way there, though.

It's bizarre where I'm from, too. There aren't many cases.

[ooc: Sorry for being a bit slow. Would you like to do a log or just handwave what might happen? Do you think she might be able to help him somewhat or not?]

If anything happens on your way here, you can call me. I'm not all that great at fighting but I can get you to a safe place pretty fast. That is if you need it.

[ She finished nodding her head. ]

It won't go away on its own. It's degenerative.

[And he does make it to the clinic without incident. He's been there before, and it's not too far from the elevator. He walks in quietly, but he doesn't want to startle her, so he calls out as he enters.]

Hello? I'm Kariya.

I know, but it's not bad to hope right?

[ She is one of those people that always cares about others. She doesn't want to forget hope. It seems to be the only thing that keeps her going in these kinds of places. ]

Sure, I'll be waiting the clinic area.

[ She finishes nodding. Eventually, she finds herself back in the infirmary and fixing things here and there until she hears his voice. ]

Hello there, I'm Ishtar.

[ The girl muses again as she glances over at him. ]

Please take a seat anywhere, and I'll get to work. Do you want water or anything first?

You're right. I shouldn't give up hope. I have to keep trying.

[He smiles, at this.

Once in the clinic, he obediently takes a seat.]

It's nice to meet you in person, Ishtar. Thank you--for trying to to help me.

[He shakes his head.]

No, I'm fine. I'm ready now.

[ooc: Sorry this reply was so late; would you like to handwave that they meet up sometimes and she helps him somewhat so he doesn't degenerate too far? Or we can continue to play it out here, if you're willing.]

Yeah you have to keep fighting. Giving up won't do good in places like this. People here feed off of it...well the ones that control this place.

[ She quietly murmured that part while she waited for him to show up. ]

No worries, I'll do what I can [ She nodded her head and started to approach him and preparing to try whatever she could to help him out. ]

ooc: It's fine either way. We can continue it here and hand wave other visits if you want. Either way I'm totally cool with it and no worries! I hope you are feeling better.

I won't give up. I promise. I've been fighting.

[He nods.] It does seem to be what they want, for us to lose hope. They keep doing these things...

[But he shouldn't think about it too much. He shakes his head. When he gets upset, it disturbs the worms. They move beneath his skin, most evident on his face, their forms visible down the left side: long, narrow masses.]

They're everywhere, but they're worse on the left side.

[ooc: I'm fine with continuing and handwaving other visits!]

You do sound like you are.

[ She nodded with a agreement. ] Yeah they keep hurting people and making them hurt. It's not any better than our worlds or other places, since there's nothing good about here anyway.

[ The girl quietly mutters as she looks off. Ishtar shook her head, since she has more important things to think about right now. She then gives him a smaller smile though, the appearance, she can see that there is something about him that looks off. ]

On the left side? Here? p She muses quietly as she gently brushes her hand to one side of his face on the left. ]

[ ooc: Alright. Then we can do it like that! ]

No, there's nothing good about this place. Though some of the people are. I've met a lot of kind people here. [He gives her a little smile before nodding at her question.] They're everywhere, inside, but there are more of them there.

[He remains still as she touches his cheek. The touch doesn't hurt. It's underneath, where the worms are, that the pain is.]

You'll live, and you'll be able to help someone. I know you will.

[ Because there's no way she wants to think negatively about everything right now. It is good to think about the positive things in life. ]

That's true but the people are indeed a good positive thing to this place.

[ She nods her head to that as she brushes her hand away from his face and thinking for a moment. She's not sure this will work, but she's going to do her best. ]

Alright, I'll try a little healing spell, and see how it goes. If now avail, I'll try a sleeping kind of spell to maybe sedate them. I don't know how this going to work out so I do apologize if there's any repercussions from this. I really am.

No, no matter what happens, it won't be your fault. I know that. You don't have to apologize. I'm grateful you're trying to help at all. Just remember, they're magical too, so I don't know how they might respond.

[ She replies with s a small smile as she prepares herself to work on him. ]

Alright, I'm relieved to hear that. I hope they won't respond to negatively. I'll start now, so give me a moment to try something small.

[ With that she stats to chant a few magical words that sound completely foreign to anyone hearing it. ]
