[So here's a warmage. He woke up in a bed with a letter telling him the world was destroyed.

Obviously the first thing to do (after raiding the chest of course) is to use that suspicous looking terminal that may or may not be booby trapped.

What you will see is a strange armor-clad guy standing in front of the camera with a glowing crossbow slung across his back.]

So, I'm stuck in this dump, right? And the world is destroyed or something. Man, I worked so hard to prevent that. If it ain't orcs it's another world-destroying calamity.

Eh, stuff happens.

So is anyone going to fill me in on what this place is?

[pokes the camera a bit]

Is this thing even on? Doesn't look very reliable.

Pardner, I've been here for five years and I still think our worlds being destroyed is a load of bullshit. Call it a hunch. That was too good of a gamble to win to just lose it all immediately after. It's not often you can save the world and get the girl, too. Fought too hard to believe that all just went up in smoke.

Either way, this place is home now. Better get used to it, reckon it's going to take awhile before we figure this one out. Not all bad though, most of the fellas you'll run into here are good people. No shortage of beautiful women here, either.

Five years and still not a single way out? Man. Well, that means that I can be the one to find it then.

And you wouldn't believe it, I saved the world twice. That, and managed to remake an entire order with the crazy lady who keeps doing her sexy pouting thing. And now I'm here.

Some strange people here, though. Never thought I'll see someone with horns on their heads who weren't bent on killing people. Or speaking in more than two sentences, for that matter.

I can already tell we're going to get along, pardner. I ain't giving up the ghost. Finding a way out of here is a risky gamble, but that's never bothered me any. Daredevil gambits are kind of my thing. The payout's always worth it, especially for me in this case. I got an Endless Frontier and a princess with a killer rack waiting for me.

Name's Browning. Haken Browning. Bounty hunter and captain of the Zeit Krokodil. Well, guess the latter means nothing without the ship itself, but I've still got a crew.

Oni aren't exactly bad folk once you get to know them. Trolls are the same, for the most part. Woudln't look either of them in the eye wrong though.

I actually haven't got a name, really. I was supposed to get a name when I finished my apprenticeship. Guess I was too awesome to. Guess you could just call me Warmage.

As long as they aren't out for my blood, I'm cool with them.

People got bigger things to worry about here than being out for each other's blood, I reckon.

Family... actually never thought of them as that. Guess it does make sense though, have to teach everyone how to work and all that.

I guess you're talking about the whole experiment thing? Horned head didn't really go into much detail.

I've always considered my crew as my family. Considering none of my bonds are by blood, they're still strong as hell. I attest that to the stuff we've gone through.

Yeah, between those experiments here and the monsters, there's not much room for infighting. The administration here likes to mess with us from time to time, getting us all sick and crazy, to who knows what. The amount of power and control they have is crazy. They don't call them the administration for nothin'.

I guess me and the crazy lady got off a bad start. I stopped her plans of ruling the world once, after all. Had to help each other defend it afterwards though so it's cool. Chances to bond like that don't come too often.

Monsters? Guess it'll still be fun here. Especially since I still have my crossbow and bladestaff here. Can't let myself get too rusty.

So what, they just do whatever they want to us for fun? Man, that doesn't sound cool at all.
