[When the feed first turns on, deep breathing can be heard, as if someone is trying to calm down. After a minute or so, the breathing stops and is followed by a pause. Shortly after, a voice belonging to what seems to be a young girl speaks up.]

H-Hello, everyone. I, um... My name is Wendy, and I'm new here. This is the best way to learn more about this place, right? I-If so, would anyone mind assisting me with some questions I have?

[She takes a deep breath.]

So, ah... Other than what the letter explained, is there anything important I should know about this place? Like... What dangers there are, or where other points of interest might be, for example.

[Another deep breath.]

I'd... I'd also like to know how people arrive here, and if it's possible if people from the same world arrive later than others. And finally... [A pause.] Are we stuck here forever?

[She takes one final deep breath.]

E-Even a little information would be helpful. Thank you for listening!

I don't know how people arrive here, but people from the same world do arrive later than others! [ A beat. ] Though I'm pretty sure we're not stuck here forever.

. . . Oh, and if you want to be able to eat good food, you've got to eat the oatmeal first!

So, they might end up here after all... [She breathes a sigh of relief.] Th-That's good to hear.

[A pause.]

Does something happen if I don't eat the oatmeal first?

Yeah! You end up throwing up any of the other food if you don't eat the oatmeal first.

Th-Throw up!? Is the food here really that bad?

[ Maya shakes her head, feeling slightly apologetic. ]

No, it's not like that. It's more like... the oatmeal has some sort of magic that makes you throw up if you don't eat it first...

The oatmeal's magical? [Coming from a world where magic isn't too uncommon (though magical food is, but then there's always the chance it's been enchanted), such is easily acceptable for her.]

Then, does that mean the rest of the food tastes fine?

Yeah, the other food tastes great! So eating the oatmeal first is totally important, you know!

[The young man certainly studies her for a moment...]

Just the monsters. But that's not all that unusual for the people around here in this place.

M-Monsters? [It's not like she hasn't seen any before, but she hadn't exactly dealt with too many, and it's a bit unnerving to hear that they aren't too uncommon.]

Are they... Can they be found anywhere here?

Just about everywhere.

The only place that's perfectly fine are the dormitory rooms. During the daytime only.

[He pauses to recall a....less than pleasant memory.]

They can be unstoppable at night.

I-I see. [That's a bit of a relief. Having a monster attack her in the night... She doesn't even want to think about it.]

Are there any particular areas I should be especially cautious?

I'd stand on guard at all times, really...but since you asked, there are some floors better left completely avoided.

[Pause--he seems to liven up immensely.] But don't worry about it too much, alright? As long as you keep alert, you'll stay safe. There's a lot of other tough fellas around here, too.

[She nods.] I understand. [Fortunately, staying alert isn't too hard, given her enhanced senses. Having strong people around helps, too--she could also lend them a hand if they needed it.]

By the way, do you know how many floors there are?

[This took him by surprise. His face changes to match his mood in the blink of an eye!]

Oh, how many floors?....well, huh....

I don't know. There's just a lot. I haven't even been to half of them yet.

About how many do you suppose there are? [Even if it's just a rough guess, it's better getting a general idea of how many floors there are now than later.]

[His face returns to a more normal expression, albeit quizzical.]

[The dorm rooms are always the top several, but new floors are added every so often...]

I would have to say fifty. Fifty very large, very high floors.

F-Fifty!?

[Give her a moment to digest that number.]

Th-That's a lot of floors, even for a tower... Do people really go that high up?

[He's seen a few...]

*nod nod* Apparently so. I wouldn't even know where to start with this thing.

By the way, my name is Allen Walker.

I-I agree... [It'd likely take quite some time to explore the whole area. And with monsters practically everywhere...] I... I don't think I'll be going too high up anytime soon.

[Her tone slightly changes to one more cheery.]

It's nice to meet you, Allen-san. Thank you for the information you've given me! [She has more things she'd like to ask, but at the same time, she doesn't want to impose too many questions on him, so she probably won't ask many more.]

It's nice to meet you, too. [Another job well done...if it was his job.]

[He smiles, and speaks with a natural, genuine warmth. This would actually be his regular voice, unimpeded by thick emotion.] And you're very welcome. I hope I see...well, meet you again soon.

I am as clueless as you as to how we are brought here, and yes to answer one of your questions.

[ She takes a quick pause. ]

It is possible for people from your world to arrive later, or earlier.

A pleasure to meet you Wendy-san. My name is Kyouko Kirigiri.

[ Her stutters could only cause the detective to give a soft smile. Kyouko couldn't help but be kind to her. It was rare, but it was sincere. Kyouko had seen this kind of thing with Hope's Peak, and she wanted to reassure the younger girl any way she could. ]

...Really? [Knowing there's a possibility her friends were already here or could arrive later cheers her up.] T-That's a relief. Thank you for letting me know! I-If I were the only one from my world...

[It's probably best not to think about it.]

It's nice to meet you, too, Kyouko-san!

Yes. [ In this situation it was better to stay positive, feeling despair wouldn't be the best thing to go through even locked within the tower. ] I have not been here long, but it is best to stay positive in this sort of situation.

[ She only nodded at the thank you. ]

You have only arrived, haven't you? Someone from your world might already be here.

Yes, I've only been here a short while.

Staying positive... You have a point. It... It doesn't seem like it would be wise to be negative in this place. [A pause.] You're also right about the possibility of someone from my world being here. [She hadn't really gotten much of a chance to explore the tower yet, so if she couldn't meet someone from her world on the network, it was quite possible she could run into them once she got a chance to explore.]

That voice...

[He quickly rushes over to the communication station.]

Wendy? Wendy is that you?!

[So there are others from his world. Thank god. But first to meet up with his Dragonslaying not!sis.]

N-Natsu-san!? [Words cannot describe how happy and relieved she is to see such a familiar face--she wasn't the only one from her world who was currently here!

And, that said, meeting up definitely had to happen.]

Where are you?

I knew it!

[She can see him flash that boyish grin of his. He was fairly moody since arriving, finding his rebelion attempts were thwarted with annoying ease. So he waited for the others to show themselves.]

I'm on the fifth floor. What about you?

[She's a bit disappointed he isn't on the same floor as her, but at least they aren't too many floors apart.]

I'm currently on the third floor!

[Can't help it. They did split them up by genders after all.]

I'll come down then. Any place you wanna meet at?

[Since it would be fairly easy to waste time looking for one another if they didn't have some kind or rendezvous point.]

How about on the third floor, around the entrance to the library? I can also go to the fourth floor and we could meet somewhere there--perhaps near one of the dorm rooms--if that's more convenient for you. [She hadn't been to that floor yet and thus didn't know what was on it other than the dorms; however, the way she figured it, they could probably locate each other using their Dragon Slayer senses.]

Library works. It's more well known. I'll meet you there.

[The less risk of missing each oher or getting lost the better. Especially in this weird unwelcomeing place.]

Understood!

[And with that, she gets off the network and heads toward the library's entrance. It doesn't take too long, but she doesn't mind waiting.]

[And he arrives about ten minutes later looking around for a flash of blue hair.]

Wendy!

[Target spotted and quickly running over. Hey there little Not!sis!]

Natsu-san!

[She smiles at him. Even if the current circumstances weren't the best, being able to get in touch with someone from her world--and someone she knew well, at that--and being able to meet up has really made her day.]

I'm really glad you're okay!

[He was just as glad really. Though the diference was he wasn't buying their lies. His world was damn sturdier than just ending like that the moment he passed out. Besides it had no right to do that before he got Lucy back. Natsu logic at its finest.]

So am I! They told me that stupid story about Earthland being destroyed but I didn't buy it for a second. Been watching the communication room since then waiting for the others to show up. So far it's just the two of us. But hey that's a start.

As of now there is...something strange going on. Many people claim to have spent longer in this tower than anyone else, and some...have even aged. But I know I didn't lose time.

"Some have even aged"? But... Does that mean people don't normally age here?

They do, but...some have aged to match their perceptions of how long they've spent here, I meant.

So, someone could spend about a year here but think they've been here for three, and thus age three years instead of one? [She just wants to make sure she's understanding it correctly.]

Not normally. This is...our hosts tend to play with us. Or...experiment, as the case may be.

I-I see...

["Experimenting" with the people brought here... Doesn't sound like anything good could come from such.]

Do they experiment with us often?

One of them doesn't, but...each one tends to do at least one thing to us in their months.

[...He knows this voice. He knows this name. But how... can it really be?]

Wendy!? Is this really you?

[Another familiar face she's happy to see!]

Jellal! [She proceeds to switch the communication mode to video so that he can see that it is indeed her.]

[He switches to video as well, sending her a startled smile, because-]

...I didn't expect any of you ever to be brought here.

[He still likes to consider this place his punishment rather than the refuge it is hailed to be by their captors. It's then that he notices the changed guild mark on her arm, blinking at the sight.]
