I tried writing down what the sun felt like in case I forgot again. Tried, at least.

Could you tell me a little about your worlds, if you don't mind sharing?

I could try making you a sun light, if you want. It could possibly be a reminder, if a small one.

And my world is depressing, so no.

I don't need to do a lot of things, but I do them anyway.

... Sometimes. At least here the food can sometimes be safe and we have beds.

I'm making do on artificial light.

That's a good point...

But it's not the sun. If I'm able to make something close to how the sun feels, I'll let you know.

But at least back in my world you're still free, even if under the constant threat by getting jumped by anything and anybody.

I miss my world.

What was your world like?

My first memories are of working as a gladiator. The champion fighter got to go live in Valhalla, which was the best place for humans to live at that time - it was under the rule of the Millenium Center but they mostly let it run on its own accord.

What was Valhalla like?

I didn't stay there too long - I kept being put on missions and then, after finding out that I was the Messiah, of course they wanted me in the Center. But it was a good place. People lived safe, ordinary lives. If you asked me the justification the Center had for sending a demon to swallow the whole place, I couldn't tell you.

The Center did what?

Valhalla was eaten along with every person living there.

... I really don't like the Center.

Neither do I.

But is the Center gone now?

Much of the Center's leadership were brought to Eden, which hasn't been doing as well now that God is dead. The regular people... they're all right.

That's good to hear... Does your world have more cities? And what are they like?

Not really. The world was flooded not long ago.

Flooded? How did that happen?

God's wrath.

... God is a fucking ass. But despite the flooding, are the livable places, well, easy to live in?

Demon attacks are frequent outside, but there's a lot of places that are safe.

That's good. And how were things before you got brought here?

Makai was in a state of celebration. God was only killed recently.
