⚓ 001; [video]

[Currently on the network is one woman with a scarred face and long pink hair. And boy does she ever look annoyed.]

Stupid thing...is it working?

[She stepped back, blue eyes narrowing before a bright smile broke out across her face.]

Hah--! This is quite the development! Can anyone hear me, or am I merely recording my words alone here? [The implications of being entirely on her own didn't seem to bother Rider one bit.]

'Your world was destroyed'...So, some kind of system crash? This must be where deleted data gets shoved off to, right? Doesn't look like any part of the Moon Cell I've seen yet, though...

[The woman shrugged and shook her head, crossing her arms.]

If anyone's hearing this, call me Rider. If not, I suppose I'll make this my new logbook.

Yes, Lady, I think 'complicated' is a good word for it. The administrators here seem to like complicated. Though not so complicated perhaps as your Grail War seems to be.

[A puzzled look crosses his face.]

Are you seriously implying that your war takes place in a computerized setting? Moon Cell did you call it?

I'm sorry, La--Rider. It's a habit of mine. Knights are expected to be polite to others. It is a sign of respect.

[Did no one understand that here? No one besides Saber that is. Diarmuid just shakes his head.]

And yes, that is not normal. With as many servants and masters as this place has, you are the first I have run into that has mentioned such a system. Granted, there are some I haven't had the honor of meeting yet, but most speak of a normal war not this...game-like set up you seem to be familiar with.

[A pirate? Well, that explains a lot, though he knows enough about pirates thanks to the grail to realize that a female one is odd. Then again, King Arthur had turned out to be female as well, so it's not something Diarmuid thinks that much about.]

No, none of that. There is no real organization. It's a war. People fight, people die. Simple as that. Like I said, yours sounds more like a game of some kind instead of a war.

[Not that any war is really that simple, but...]

No, and I expect most of the servants and masters you speak to will give you the same answer. However, if it hasn't already been suggested to you, I would recommend finding a servant named Ruler. She has been acting as a neutral administrator for all the servants and masters in the tower, and she also watches over masters who are without servant protection in this place. As you might imagine, even though there is no war here, there are some who don't care about that and still wish to carry on with whatever feuds they left behind.

In any event, since she watches over everyone, if anyone has ever mentioned a war like yours before, she would know.

[He pauses, again looking confused.]

A tournament, though? Just how many masters and servants were in your war? It sounds like many more than the 7 most of us are used to having.

If nothing else, do it as a courtesy to her. I'm sure it will put her at ease to know that the newest servant arrival means no harm to others who are already here.

[Anger flashes across his eyes.]

War is war no matter the number, Lady. Do not underestimate the pain 7 can cause. It can be just as great if not greater than that 100 can cause.
