[The fatigue and the feeling of unease from after Lancer woke up following his death on the circus floor hadn't gone away with time. If anything, he just felt even worse. In addition, his feet felt strangely hard and heavy, a feeling that progressed as the day dragged on. Trying to eat and drink, if only to taste strange new foods for this month's menu outright burned his mouth. At this point, he could only conclude something was very wrong.]

[However, as a Servant, he wasn't supposed to be vulnerable to human diseases. This narrowed the cause of his current conditon to either an effect of the Tower's experiment for the month, or the effect of some curse. He just had to figure out which one.]

does anyone else in this tower feel like shit
like, kinda sick
always tired
legs sorta heavy
eating or drinking burns your mouth
anyone getting these effects?

Really? Have you ever had a penguin egg to eat before? I wonder if they taste different from chicken eggs..

nope never had penguins in my place
but they probably do taste different
hawk eggs taste different from crow eggs

You've had hawk eggs before..? And crow ones? That's so amazing, I've never had any but chicken eggs, so those only all taste the same.

i had to climb a bit to get those
we had some chickens in my place but i was out travelling around a lot

That sounds great. I've always wanted to travel before.. seeing new sights is the best kind of thing.

though, if we go on one of the outdoor floors
that's travelling, right?

Does that count? It's not like you can go to another country here the way you can back home. I've travelled a lot in my dreams, but.. I guess that doesn't really count either.

it depends on what sort of dreams
sometimes the dreams are like reality
and you're really going into those places even though it doesn't look like you are

Yeah, I think dreams are really real too. They seem more real than real things do sometimes.

But other people said dreams are just dreams.

if they're real to you then it's real
unless you wanna believe what other people say and think that it isn't

Well, usually other people know a lot more about things than me, so they're usually right..

just because someone knows a lot doesn't mean they're right all the time
i can think of a couple of people who were wise
and also wrong

well, like my uncle
you don't know him
but he was still a very wise king
and yet he was still wrong when he killed one of his knights after saying he forgave him

But that's weird, isn't it?

I mean.. you shouldn't forgive someone and then kill them all the same. If you want to kill them, then you shouldn't forgive them. If you want to forgive them, then you shouldn't kill them. Even I know that.

everyone knew he was wrong
he was angry
because that knight stole his fiancee
because he was angry
he did something very stupid and very wrong
even though he was very wise before that
and even wiser after that

It's not right to steal a person who's in love with someone else.

i don't think the woman was in love with him
he just wanted to marry her because she was beautiful
and because he was king he could just say 'i'm gonna marry her' and everyone would consider her his woman
but she liked someone else better

.. That's weird. People marry each other since they love each other, right? Why else would they love each other, marriage without love is.. not marriage.

which is why everyone supported what that knight did

Somehow it feels like everyone is just wrong in the story.
