It's a holiday in that is usually done to set up ornamental dolls in a certain order.

Really? That actually sounds kinda neat. How d' people usually celebrate this one?

Well, you need to have dolls, first of all. The dolls represent the emperor, empress, attendants, and musicians.

And then you gotta put 'em in the right order?

[ Pretty much going to be embarrassed by all of this, really. Even though she knows that Girl's Day isn't that much of a big deal, the fact that Yukki is actually going to bring a present is, well... surprising. ]

[ BECAUSE she wants time to calm the hell down before meeting him. Hell, she's already stuttering a little. ]

You need four platforms in order to put them in the correct order. These platforms are like stairs.

The emperor and the empress are on the top. The emperor's on the left, the empress on his right. Under them are the three court ladies. And then under them are the five musicians. Two ministers are under the musicians. Then you have plants and then the three helpers of the emperor or empress, usually samurai.

There's a bunch of various other items under that, though that aren't dolls. Though I don't know why it prioritizes girls. Perhaps because girls usually enjoy playing wth dolls.
