[She probably should have done this a lot sooner but... to tell the truth it's taken this long for the wound of Reno's departure to not be too raw. But now some of the edge is fading, and she needs to be practical. She's never going to get better like this.]

Up until recently I was training with someone how to fight, but... he's gone now. So... I was wondering, is there anybody who can help me train? I can fight hand-to-hand, and also I can... I've never found anything like it anywhere else, but I think it's most like a sword in other worlds. I'm trying to learn to fight with it a little differently too, so... I might not be as good, but I want to to get better.

[Meaning her bad hand is useless for pretty much anything still, and she hasn't had much chance to practice one-handed keyblade wielding]

Anyway, thanks.

[She pauses, then adds]

Oh... Shion, if I find anybody, do you want to come as well? [Er...] I'll ask you if I see you too.

I could probably help train you in the sword, if you like. I've had a decent amount of unarmed combat training as well.

What kind of blade is it?

[Oh. Yeah... very slightly awkward there]

[If she hadn't gotten some strange looks for it already she wouldn't be ask awkward about it okay?]

[Hey, he's not one to judge, his other weapon is basically a fonic tuning fork.]

Can't say I've heard of it.

[Not to mention there are others in Auldrant who can fight with cooking utensils, plus that broom of Jade's]

Not a lot of people have it, even where I come from. [Not many people can have it] I can show it to you.

[Precisely. No judgement about funny looking weapons here.]

[Hooray for dark corridor shortcuts, because sure enough in under ten minutes she'll be poking her way between the shelves to the terminals, looking for him.]

[Quick indeed - Asch is hanging out in the romance section as usual, his terminal of choice pretty well hidden away from the stairs.]

[She shuffles her feet awkwardly]

I don't really have to use the elevator.

[Sometimes it's just nice to have the time to think.]

[Well, just full of surprises, isn't she?]

Sounds useful. So where's that weapon?

[And you still don't even know who her original is Asch

She glances around, steps back to make sure she has enough room, then raises her hand - her right one, though her bad left is visible hanging limply at her side if Asch were to look - and summons her Keyblade out of thin air.]

[Oh, very full of surprises. And really, Xion, you should introduce them.

Asch blinks, then slides off his stool and comes over to inspect the weapon more closely.]

Hmm, more blunt damage than cutting, isn't it?

[More like a blade-shaped - key-shaped - club than anything.]

Um... It can still cut things, actually. Just... only when it needs to.

[She's... never really thought about how a Keyblade works before. It just... does. She lifts her Kingdom Key to look at it, a faint crease forming between her eyebrows as she looks at it.]

Hmm...

[He raps his knuckles on the central extension of the blade, near the "teeth" of the key. Feels like metal, but the sound is a little off...]

Where did you get it?

[She hesitates]

I've had it almost as long as I can remember.

[He actually knows what she is, so... unlike some other people she's mentioned it to, maybe he'll actually figure out some of the implications behind what she's saying.]

...I see.

[He catches the implication, yeah. He drops his hand away from the weapon - if it's the reason she was born, then it's probably at least as powerful as the Daathic Artes, in its own way.]

Have you had any other formal training with it?

Sort of. There used to be Keyblade masters who taught people, I think. But I don't know any from my time. And there've been some in the Tower before, but... they're all mostly gone now.

[There was Terra, but she hasn't gone to him, for various awkward reasons. She's... mostly sad about Aqua being gone. Especially the one who'd helped her back during February.]

Back home though... there was only Roxas, and he knew as much about it as I did.

I see. Well, if it's just swordsmanship, then there's probably at least a few things I can teach you.

[Definitely seems like it would be a clunkier, slower blade, which is better suited to his style, anyway. Slower hits, but every one counts.]

I'd like to make a more practical assessment when you have time.

[Read: come on kid let's go sparring.]
