Humans are predictable, instinct-based creatures. When faced with their very survival, there is nothing they will not resort to. Dishonesty is to be expected.

Freedom is a seemingly noble goal. However, it also invariably leads to foolish and rash decisions. Such as fighting a losing battle; one that has been lost before, and in the same way.

History does not favor those who do the same thing over and over again, and expect different results.
