[Those who have been here quite a long time will recall that Lina went back home around November - however, going by her expression and the way she's acting, it doesn't seem like it's been that long. She may have a tendency toward burying her emotions, but she's not good enough to hide what would go along with eight months of solitude.]

Well, it's about time I got back here! I swear, another day back there, and I would have screamed.

[Well, she did after the first few days, but she's not gonna broadcast that in the least. She sighs, then folds her arms.]

Chloe... and you probably shouldn't, but you'd be surprised how consistent the others' stories will be.

But, for dinner tonight, I suggest oatmeal. It sets the expectations well.

[Lina still isn't convinced, but she does at least know to expect all sorts of crazy stuff from this tower.]

Yeah, I know. I was here a long time before I got sent back home. Though, the time limit's new - what's that for, exactly?

It came into being after the power shut off in the whole tower and error messages appeared on all the terminals. Ruana threw a massive fit over the networks, turning everything back on and declared they could only keep this place alive for another year, at which point we would truly die.

[She giggled.]

Death hasn't ever been a threat these worlds could use against me that effectively.

...well, that's a hell of a thing to come back to.

mmm, perhaps but are you really that surprised? This place is a bit like hell on earth, after all.

Well, no. Not really. Still pretty jarring, though, to suddenly be on a timetable like that...

Naturally. All the more reason to enjoy yourself while there is still time. If the world is going to end anyway, that is.

Or join the others in preparing to assault the impossible odds against the admins. That's always an option.

Well, impossible odds are more my thing than rolling over and dying, to be frank.

Besides, I owe baldy a good punch in the face for a lot of the crap he's pulled.

I prefer not to think of it as rolling over and dying, but that isn't especially important. The latter, though, that is something I can understand well enough. That much I will say.

Vengeance is something that should be savored.
