I do not know what happened to my own world, but I would ask that nobody visits Floor Twenty-Five, for now. I'll be headed there after I make this entry.

[ He has heard that it will always appear that way; peaceful spring weather, with a pretty meadow. Maybe then, if he stays there... his magic won't affect it. Hey, it was worth a try. ]

I don't wish to introduce myself. It is better if nobody here knows who I am, or what I am. Though if anyone encounters a book in either of the libraries titled 'The Book of Zeref,' tell me. I will dispose of it. I may be the only one here who knows how.

[ And sure enough, there he is, later. He's kneeling in a small clearing, staring down at a certain white flour. The flower was oddly resilient. It wasn't wilting, wasn't turning black and crumbling to dust just from being near the Black Wizard. But isn't that how it always is? ]

Our world... destroyed.

[ He whispered to nobody in particular, feeling tears threaten to roll down his cheeks. He picked the small flower, ripping the stem between his fingers. It immediately wilted, the petals shriveling up and falling off, with the stem becoming coarse and rubbery. Zeref simply dropped it where it was. ]

Was it me? Was it Acnologia? [ Again, asking nobody in particular. ] I guess it doesn't matter. Maybe it was better off, after all.

Book of Zeref? How the hell do you know about that?

[Silly Natsu. Did you seriously forget about the guy who got all weepy at you back on Tenrou Island. Though to be fair this message was text only so he could be forgive for not making that lucky of a guess.]

[Lucy is beyond shocked that she has to make a video call. A simple text message would not be enough at all.]

Zeref? You don't mean that Zeref?

[He doesn't look like what she imagined him to be. He looks even... a human who is completely sane. He doesn't look evil either.]

Our world has been destroyed for a while. Or that's what I was told anyway. Though... Are you really Zeref?

[She keeps rambling, unable to believe what is happening.]

I just do.

[ If it wasn't actually him, it'd be crazy to think he actually was Zeref and not one of his dark wizard fanboys. He doesn't blame him, though the hotheaded response gives Zeref an idea who was on the other end of this message. He tries to fight back tears. ]

You shouldn't ask questions like that.

[ Nothing personal, Lucy. It's just not a good idea, mostly for her own sake. ]

[Natsu does have a fairly easy to recognize style.]

And we're supposed to take that answer and just do as you say? I don't think so. If we find that book you're not getting your dirty hands on it. Nothing good's come out of that thing even back when our world was still there.

[So, this person wants to stick to texting. She can go with that.]

Why is it wrong to ask them? I've been here for a while now, and nobody appeared from our world. Don't I have a right to know?

[ He wrote the damn thing, how do you think he feels? ]

Would you know how to keep it safe? Or, failing that, how to destroy it?

[Well... that is unusual.]

I'm familiar with some contents of that book and the libraries of this tower. I have yet to come across it.

[And he seriously doubts he ever will. Though he does wonder...]

What is your business with Zeref?

[There are some that seek to dispose of him of course (typically of the council), but there are even more that seek to harness his power. He'd rather like to know what he is dealing with now.]

Maybe you do. But when I was much younger, there was a saying about curious Exceeds. I don't want to hurt anyone else. It's better that I simply be left alone, where my magic won't cause harm to anybody else.

[ In a way, he did just answer her question, if she knew anything about Death Magic. ]

Good. Then maybe it isn't here, after all... there were only a few surviving volumes, if I remember correctly.

[ Though, there may be even less than that, now. Four hundred years is a long time. ]

I will just say that I know what he is capable of better than anyone else.

[He really wouldn't know. You're the biggest contradicting puzzle of a person he's met so far.]

Books burn don't they? That's my specialty.

Are you really Zeref?

[Now it's hard to believe that Zeref, who is known as the darkest magician ever, doesn't want to hurt anybody at all.]

Did you lose your memories or something?

[ Honestly, debating Natsu is pointless. He barely knows him, and reached that conclusion within the first five minutes of finally meeting him for the first time. ]
