Does anybody know if there's some way to make the countdown thing go away? At least for a little while? It's really distracting.

[She speaks of course of the Countdown to Power Failure. It's giving her the creeps and at this rate she's going to want to use the terminals even less.]

I suppose you could try to pretend, if nothing else.

After all, if someone had managed it, wouldn't they have said something about it between last month and now?

I haven't seen anybody talk about it before, so I thought maybe it's never bothered anyone else, at least not enough to talk about it.

A lot of us were too preoccupied last month to use the network much anyway.

We were safe during the day. And it doesn't seem to me very many people were that concerned about the monsters, if that's what you mean. There were a few discussing possible identities. Maybe containment.

Other than that... They seemed to have plenty enough time to spend on other things.

[Might or might not be referring to a certain witch's post in particular. The sentiment's the same either way: disdainful, if veiled.

All the people I saw were focusing on keeping themselves and the people they cared about safe.

[The barricade in particular... Even during the day, people were shoring up defenses, taking care of any wounded, and resting to prepare for the night.]

But... wouldn't everyone have been safer if we had played along with the game? Before it got to be so overwhelming, I mean.

I might be able to make some kind of coding to help hide it. I'll need to research this a bit, though.

That would be great. It's probably good to know how much time we have left, but I just wish it wasn't there all the time.

Yeah, it can get kinda eerie, and it's not something you would wanna see on a bad day.

But I'll do my best to find a way to hide, even if it is for a little while.

I don't use the network too much so I guess it's not a big deal for me, but maybe other people can use it

It's really annoying to look at, right? And it gives me the creeps too.

Yeah, it's really creepy more than anything for me. And really hard to ignore too.

I'm sort of good with computers but I've never tried anything like this before.

I can't really do anything special with them.. besides, these are way different than normal computers, I think. If you consider how weird everything else here is and how tight the admins are controlling everything.. maybe they're already reading this too and are planning to stop us. [ Not an idea she particularly likes. ]

I will see if I can do something. I have not been able to interface with the terminals, so it may take a while.

I am an android, miss. It is natural for me to connect to any computer I am using.

For some reason, these will not allow me to do so.

I guess the computers here must be really different than back home.

Why are you apologizing? It is not as if I am ashamed to be an android.

What sort of technology are you used to from home, miss?

You could just stop using the terminal.

I don't use it that much anyway but I thought it'd be useful when I do use it.

It doesn't bother me that much. At least it's only on the terminals and not broadcast constantly through the entire tower.

It's like a countdown until we die unless we can stop it. It'd probably drive everybody crazy.

Given the general state of everyone here, that might even be an improvement. As it stands, it's giving us a distinct goal to work towards.
