[The screen shows a boy with light teal hair. He stares curiously out from the monitor, though in reality, he is looking at a camera. He tilts his head, perhaps fascinated with the way that his image is being recorded back to him. Static runs across the monitor, and he jumps a bit at this, quickly shutting the monitor down. He has, however, forgotten to turn the camera off.]

S-so that's how it works... oh!

[There are sounds of fumbling fingers in the background as the audio finally cuts off too.

Clearly, this is the first time that the boy has ever encountered a computer.]

[Oh there's the video, now he doesn't have to type anymore. Even if he has thin fingers like chicken legs, it's tedious!]

Hey, that's better than nothing! But I guess you must be new too, kinda like me. I'm Henry!

It's nice to meet you, Henry. [He's glad that this person also seems rather kind.

Although, now that he thinks of it... those robes look awfully familiar.]

Are... are you a dark mage? [They're very different, but the style and color look about the same. He's also promised himself not to jump to conclusions and won't allow Henry's class to define how nice or not-nice he is.]

Buh? How'd you guess? I didn't think anyone would be able to figure that out here, unless they already knew me or I decided to tell them! [Not that he really minds that someone figured it out, he's rather proud of his ability to wield dark magic.

It doesn't even occur to him yet that it might be the obvious clothes.]

[This is great news for Nils. He hasn't met anyone from the same... area as him before.]

Um, your robes, they're not really the same, but they look like the robes that dark mages from Elibe would wear.

[So then he has to ask:] A-are you from Elibe?

Elibe, hmm... Not sure, I might have read about it somewhere, a looong time ago. [Since books were some of the few things he collected, and after traveling with the Shepherds his library really grew when combined with the others.]

I could be wrong! I've only been to three out there, nya ha!

[Was this man... from the future? Still, it's nice to have met someone... somewhat familiar, he supposed. It also suddenly occurs to himself that he hasn't made an introduction yet. How rude of him.]

My name is Nils, Sir Henry.

Wow, sir? No one's called me that in a while, so you don't have to! [He's really starting to like this kid, or at least find him a bit more interesting.]

So, how'd you manage to get these things to work on your own? Unless you just smashed it until it turned on, maybe I should try doing that myself.

Oh! If you insist, Henry. [Nils is quick to make the change.]

Er, to be honest, I saw someone before pressing some buttons, and I tried to see if copying them would turn it on. My name was on the screen when I got to the terminal though...? [Must have something to do with radius.]

Well that sounds easy enough! But I've never seen my name anywhere on these things, maybe that means they haven't eaten my brain yet, that would be so neat. [How would they even do it? Would they have claws hidden somewhere in them that were ready to strike whenever some poor soul least expected it?

This is worth investigating~.]

[Nils hasn't quite caught onto Henry's macabre sense of humor (or really just Henry's macabre self).]

I don't... remember getting my brain eaten? [He's not sure what to make of Henry's enthusiasm about brain-eating.] It, um, it sounds like it would hurt.

[That's okay, even people who've known Henry a while still can't quite catch onto it!]

It sure does, but what's the point then if you can't remember it happening? Unless it's someone else doing it for you, maybe it's time to ask any doctor types around here.

[Suddenly, Nils is alarmed.]

You know that it does hurt? Have you... Have you had your brain eaten before?
