I am Sephiroth.

[Though which Sephiroth is it? The ID number attached to the post reads S1297993 rather than S1727002, for those who know there are two Sephiroths, are familiar with those numbers, and take the time to notice. Then again, the tone of the post may also be a hint.]

I have been researching the monsters in the Tower. I am curious as to why they are treated so differently than we are, although they likely come from other worlds as well. They have no collars, and they roam freely. They are not wire constructs containing souls, as we are. They were not altered during the glamour failure. They appeared as normal. Many of them are absent during the day. Where do they go? What is their nature? Why are they here?

If you have any ideas or theories, I would be interested in hearing them.

Also, I have noticed that there is a discrepancy in my memories. If there is anyone capable of reading or altering memories, please contact me.

Thank you.

Exactly that. A mark must be placed somewhere on the body to allow for the channeling of memory. It can be removed once it's served its purpose, so you don't have to worry about it being permanent.

[ That's explaining it very... lightly, but none of it is a lie. ]

That is true. It would seem strange that, if they were so powerful, that simple light should keep them away from us... And with so many of them, surely they can't all be nocturnal.

I hadn't heard of that before, though. From whom did you learn this?

If you are willing, then I suppose I could try. It might take me a little while to make my way to your location, depending on where it is. Though, the act itself may also take some time, so if you instead want to do this at a more convenient date...

It's something to think about, I suppose. I'd mostly written off the monsters as but another cruel act of the Administrators, simply a fact of our 'lives' here. With you mentioning this, though... One can't help but wonder if there's something about the nights here they don't want us knowing about or finding out.

But I'm afraid I'm not the most suited to be combating monsters when the glamours are up, so I'm sorry I can't help you with information regarding them.

The third floor library, not the nineteenth, I assume? I can meet with you there. I'll be coming from the dorms, so you will have to wait about half an hour. It's unfortunate that there are no faster methods of transport here, but I suppose it can't be helped.

Ah, pardon me, Sephiroth, but might I know who I should be looking for?

[ There's no reply, but true to his word Ion does show up at the library within a half hour's time. He lingers around the stairwell for a moment, as if in hesitance, before heading over to the terminals in search of Sephiroth.

It doesn't take too long, even with his using his staff as a cane. ]

Hello? Sephiroth? Pardon the delay, but we spoke earlier over the network.

It's a pleasure to meet you.

You may call me Ion. [ Said with a smile and a slight inclination of the head. ]

I understand that you believe there to be discrepancies in your memory? What, exactly, is the nature of them? It might help us if we could better understand the problem.

[ For while he doesn't know that there are two Sephiroths, or even the older one personally, he does know of the older Sephiroth. This one... is quite different.

Younger... or a replica? ]

Or- ah, if it is too private for you to discuss, we could move to a more secluded portion of this floor, if you'd like.

Very well then.

[ He 'hmms' quietly, closing his eyes and turning this over in his mind. ]

Suppressed, you say? Do you have precedence for this? I mean- is it normal, or at least not entirely unheard of, for people of your world to de-age or otherwise lose years? I'm afraid I don't know of the technology or magic your world might be capable of, so...

Do you think it's at all possible someone else might have implanted these memories?
