[Aleph looks remarkably pleased.]
So, does anyone know if their homes have non-religious marriages and wedding ceremonies? My girlfriend April - fiancee April now - proposed to me, and... well, we're both from post-apocalyptic worlds, hers doesn't have much in the way of traditions and mine had people who would gut you for trying to pervert a holy ceremony. I've never actually attended a wedding, either, so any help here would be nice.
Also nutrition bars are a terrible substitute for cake. At least I'm sure there's no connection between nutrition bars and Him.
I hope you all have a great day, Animus.

Aleph, you have my most sincere congratulations! I just met April. She helped me with getting the Tower Guide out, but I didn't know you two were so close. Please send my congratulations to her as well!
I don't have a lot of wedding advice for you considering how love has gone for me, but if I may suggest whatever you choose, make sure it means a lot to you and to April. It doesn't need to be something big. It doesn't need to be something formal. It just needs to be something that accurately reflects how you feel about each other since it's your love for each other that you are celebrating.

How have you been since we last talked?

[Aleph's question gives Diarmuid pause. There is no way he can say things have been okay since the last time they spoke, but the last thing he wants to do is in any way dampen the man's happy mood. There is far too little joy in Tower for that.]
Things...have been rough, but at the same time, I am probably better now than I have been since I arrived here. Steps have been taken forward and back. It's pretty much how things in the Tower go, wouldn't you say?

I'm not... really familiar with wedding traditions but... I can tell you about the last one that was in the Tower, if that'll help.
[There's a pause, the she adds]
You should be careful. The admins... might be interested. Not always a bad interested but... you should know.
[She knows that Ruana interfered last time, kept the other admins - particularly Jason - from doing anything. She's not so sure that'll be the case this time around, especially with Ruana asleep and Jason in charge]

It was on one of the meadow floors and... the bride and groom, Elena and Reno, they got Gandalf to... to do the ceremony. Gandalf isn't here anymore though. They asked their friends to attend and... someone [read: Xion] asked others to help make sure the admins didn't try anything, though... Ruana said she wouldn't let anything happen.
Ruana and Zo were there, that time. They didn't do anything, they actually made the ceremony really nice. But Ganon tried to attack them at the end of it and nearly hurt everyone else.
[Her voice gets a little thick here]
They had a best man and a flower girl, I remember. [Then there's a quiet laugh] The groom and... a friend of his played a joke on the bride, but I wouldn't do that if I were you.
[She trails off there]
I'm sorry, I'm probably not explaining this well.

As for customs..it is usually common for the men and women to wear formal gowns, for the husband and wife to-be to gather their friends and family for a feast the day or night before the wedding, and for there to be a ring bearer and a few flower girls. There is usually a wedding cake and a feast afterwards..as well as parties before the wedding for the men and women to have separately before the wedding.
It is also common for those in the wedding to throw rice at the couple when they are married for good luck. I am not sure how many residents will be able to do that though. Be careful though, Aleph. A few months ago, there was a wedding here in the Tower and the Administrators showed up, with one person trying to attack them. You might want to give your guests fair warning.

I think I can help you two come up with something, as well as the decorations and such.
Congratulations, you two.

[Solas is...interested. What.]
May I come? Oh - I'm good at conjuring things, if you want me to make a cake or decorations or anything!
[Pause.]
Perhaps it'd be best if I didn't make the cake, though, my sense of taste is a little off. But I can definitely make decorations!
[SO EXCITING]
