[Early in the morning--perhaps one or two--there's a series of violent explosions that seem to originate in the residential elevator shaft. The elevator itself plummets--anyone unlucky enough to be inside is killed either by the explosion or the fall, although they won't be able to recall which due to apparent unconsciousness.

Jason sends this message not long after the explosions quiet down.]

WHAT have you lot done this time? Are you trying to crack the Tower in half? HOW did you even get explosives? Do you know what you've just DONE? This is going to be a mess. It's your own fault, but given I'm on babysitting duties, I'm going to do my best to fix this as quickly as possible. It'll still take a week or so, though.

Until then--well, maybe you should figure out which of your revolutionaries had THIS bright idea and give them a talking to, because pretty soon you're all going to find out what that explosion broke.

Don't worry, I won't get hurt in the slightest. [Of course he's confident in that fact- hell, he's got the best defense at his disposal in the first place. Seriously, he wouldn't know what he'd be able to do if Requiem wasn't by his side...either way, he's already smiling to reassure the girl.]

And even if I do, I'd come back, wouldn't I? Please, don't think too much about this; just know that I'll be coming back to you no matter what.

... [ That's right. They just come back to life if they die here, right? It's weird, and.. honestly, it's a pretty sick idea to her, but she has no choice but to just accept it.. but that's not the same as just accepting these words from him of all people. ]

[...that actually gets his heart to sink a little bit when she says that. If she were to die...she would come back hurt too, wouldn't she? It makes him grind his teeth- part of him actually understanding the girl's feelings a little bit. With a sigh on his part, he crosses his arms.]

...you put me in quite the position. Now I'm beginning to question whether or not I should go in the first place...it's odd how you're making me question my actions now...

That's not "odd", that just means you care about my feelings.. [ It's embarassing to have to spell it out like that, so she's definitely pouting and blushing a little bit as she's saying it, glancing off to the side. Man, why doesn't he get this stuff again.. ]

B-but, if you really want to go, then I guess you should. As long as you don't get hurt.

[...caring about someone's feelings, huh...this is so far out of his spectrum of normal human relations that he's just going to be confused all around. He's going to have to learn about how to deal with emotions and the like, but in the meantime...]
