For the purpose of this post, I will be referring to the first year mentioned here as Year X, the second as Year Y, and the current year as Year Z. I will also be referring to the months by their numerical place on the calendar rather than their names. This is so that I can ensure comprehension by a wide audience in the tower, no matter what year they are from or what the calendar of their world is like.
I'd like to call the attention of the following people:
● anyone who arrived in the tower earlier than this date exactly two years ago; the thirtieth day of Month 8 in Year X.
● anyone who participated in the experiment during Month 9 of Year X.
● anyone who played in the entirety of the game during Month 2 of Year Y.
● anyone who played in the entirety of the game during Month 6 of Year Y.
● anyone who participated in any experiment or game during Month 7 of Year Y.
● any competent hacker who feels a little helpful.
I am not asking anything dangerous of you. I simply have a little project I'm working on, and I require assistance with filling in some of the blanks.

I'd like to know what the games entailed. My knowledge in both areas is severely lacking.

There were three parts to the games during the second month of Year Y. At the beginning of the month, those chosen to participate were given stuffed toys to "take care of," and were told they had been "infected" with something. They were then taken away from the residential portion of the Tower, given a candle, and told to keep their candle lit throughout the night. Of course, there was something stalking them in the darkness, and if the candle went out, that something would attack.
The second part involved sweets being laced into the food. Upon consumption, they would alter the mind of the consumer in various ways depending upon what kind of sweet was eaten. One of my friends became obsessed with me to the point of stalking my every move, and another was overcome with sadism. Eating a plain chocolate reversed the effects.
The stuffed toys became important again in the third and final part of that month's game. Once again, those chosen to participate were taken away to another part of the Tower, and after performing a ritual upon the toy they were given, were told to hide. The toys came to life in the night, and slaughtered anyone they found. Unfortunately, I do not know what those who managed to stay hidden all night received or did, if anything.
[... Yep, now that she thinks about it, that first death is still probably the worst she's experienced during her time in the Tower.]
Would you like more detail, or shall I move on to month six?

No, that will be sufficient for what I intend to do. Thank you.
If you do not mind moving on to Month 6, it would be of great help to me. Take as much time as you need.

The game of the sixth month was meant to resolve a dispute between the three adult male administrators over who could run the Tower the best, and I believe it was the first time Ruana revealed herself to the Tower populace.
Once again, those chosen to participate were taken away from the part of the Tower we are most familiar with and separated into three different "pods": one each for Dax, Riki, and Jason. We were told there were challenges we had to complete to earn points for the administrator who was overseeing us. Obviously, Dax was the most humane, and those of us in his pod worked as hard as we could to ensure his victory. For a while, we even held the lead against Jason despite the modifications he was making to those under his care.
[I swear no one will have to suffer like this again. Oh, what a fool she had been. Conveniently, she leaves out the bit about the elimination process. Not something she wants to talk about, that.]
The situation grew more chaotic as time went on, however. At the end of one of the later weeks, when the various groups gathered to see who won the challenges, a girl from Jason's pod killed another. I do not know the specifics of what was happening in Jason's pod, but it is not beyond imagining the stress of it all was too much to bear. What was truly strange about it was how Ruana struck Jason for his negligence as it occurred. He was disqualified, and when we saw him again the next week, he had these large, black stitches crisscrossing over his skin.
[...]
There was a failed infiltration during the third week, apparently, because the competition was ended early. The administrators were so caught up in the game, they forgot about the rest of the Tower, it seemed. Even as the others returned, Ruana continued to play with those who had been dragged into their squabble until the end of the month, after which we were returned to the residential levels.
Is that sufficient?

Absolutely so. Your descriptive abilities are impeccable.
I'm sorry to trouble you to remember, but this has been of great help to me. Thank you.

[Unseen by her conversation partner, the ghost of a wry smile plays at her lips. Definitely not like the legends of Hyrule, but...]
May I ask what your project is, or is it something that should not be spoken of on the network?

I do not want the atrocities of the administrators to be lost with everyone who has been sent home since this "rescue operation" began.
