Uhmm.... this may sound really awkward and out of the blue but Darr-- my husband's birthday is in October and uh, does anyone know how to make a cake?

Like a legit cake, not the kind you get out of a box and it has to taste... well good?

I don't want to give him food poisoning and I really want to give him something for his birthday, even if it'sa little bit in this hell hole....

I'll owe you anything. Just name it. Really.... please? A girl could use some help with learning how to be a good .... well wife... I guess.

That's not my point though. It's pointless if someone else just made it or conjure it out of thin air. There's no meaning to it

Cake has.. a "meaning"? [ That causes a frown to appear on her face, it sounds pretty complicated to her. ]

But it's just cake, right..? Unless the eating is to eat it..

Yeah....anything handmade has a meaning. Don't you know that?

Well to some people it's just cake, but the amount of effort and care you put into making something has a huge meaning. The taste is also different when someone who loves it makes it versus someone who doesn't love it

I.. never really made a lot of stuff for other people. I made something for Yuuto's birthday, but that's since I couldn't really find anything in this place to use as a present, so I had to make something myself.. [ In other words, it wasn't her first thought. ]

But it's actually better then since I made it myself..?

Ah, that counts and yes. I think it is. When you put your heart and mind into something for people you care about it's really different. You can taste and feel it, honestly.

I think it does. I don't know if emotions can completely influence food but it does help.

You put it in food while you make it, but not literally if that makes any sense. [ Well not literally! ]

That's a little hard to imagine.. I mean.. you can't put anything into food if you can't see it.

Well, I guess you could put in invisible things, but only things that you can still hold even if they're invisible.. [ She's thinking way too hard about this. ]
