Uhmm.... this may sound really awkward and out of the blue but Darr-- my husband's birthday is in October and uh, does anyone know how to make a cake?

Like a legit cake, not the kind you get out of a box and it has to taste... well good?

[ god this is so awkward. She can't even say this without sounding like and idiot. ]

I don't want to give him food poisoning and I really want to give him something for his birthday, even if it'sa little bit in this hell hole....

I'll owe you anything. Just name it. Really.... please? A girl could use some help with learning how to be a good .... well wife... I guess.

[ With that Ishtar's face flusters a bit before she cuts the feed. ]

[ Don't take Ishtar too seriously, since she's never serious unless she's glaring at you. ]

You're so easy to tease. I'm sorry.

[He deflates a bit, giving a light frown.] Oh... I see.

[He gives a defeated sigh, knowing it's true. His friends seemed to enjoy taking advantage of that trait, as well. A slight flustered look crosses his face as he scratches the back of his head.] It's ...fine.

Oh...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you!

[ She replied giving him an apologetic look. She felt bad now that he looks upset...sort of. ]

I won't do it again if you don't like it!

[Taken from thought completely and blinks, quickly shaking his head.]

Ah! No, it's... you just made me think of my friends, is all. [He laughs apologetically.] I just missed our adventures, together, is all... [Now, they're stuck in one that almost seemed more like a nightmare that would never end.]

[ Ishtar smiles when he laughs. It at least eases her worries. ]

Oh, I do? Well I'll take that as a compliment?

[ She laughs herself. ]

Ah, I see. What kind of adventures?

[He nods, a smile resting on his face.] Yeah, they... teased me, a lot. I never minded, really. Maybe at first, I .... got annoyed, but after I changed for the better, I realized they did it because they cared.

Heh... [To the next question, he props an elbow on the table and leans his head on his hand, looking to the side.]

Oh, uh... several, actually. The first adventure was me trying to get back home. Then, I was sent off to save this-... [He pauses a moment, his voice softening.] ... town. It didn't... end well. But, it was because I was an idiot and didn't trust my friends. After that, though, we worked hard to save Auldrant! This poison was... killing people, and we had to work together to get rid of it. And we had to work hard to restore Auldrant to what it was... and free this being named Lorelei.

[He pauses a little more.] In the end, we did, though. A lot of people died--... even some that I was close to--but... they didn't die in vain. At least, I'd like to hope so...

[ She replied brightly smiling at how fondly he was talking about his friends. ]

It sounds like you're still finding yourself, but I honestly think that's an amazing adventure to have. A being named Lorelei?

Yeah, that's a good thing to hope for.

They didn't have to stick by me, but they did. Especially...

[His face may, or may not be turning pink and he quickly switched the subject.]

Lorelei... is the aggregate sentience of the Seventh Fonon--that's the fonon of sound. And fonons are the basic particle of all elements that compose Auldrant--my home planet. But... fonons are vibrations of energy that give sound and allow... uh... matter to be distinguished.

[He scratches at the back of his head, a moment.]

But--putting them in the correct order, there's Darkness, Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, Light, and... well, you already know the last one.

[He grins.]

I know what you mean. My friends mean a lot to me too. Yeah, I know that feeling.

[ Ishtar giggled at his blush. ] Do you have someone you like, Luke?

[ because gossip is her best friend sometimes. Sorry Luke. ]

[ Ishtar stared at him for a moment as he explained that. It was a whole lot of information to take in and her face sort of twisted in a confused look. ]

That's a lot of information...can you uh repeat that a bit slower....

[ Ishtar was still staring when he continued. ]

So elements...right.

L-like...? A-ah... well... [Turning red, he paused. He deicided to get to that, after the fonon talk, though. He needed time to think up a response. Besides, like might not be the right word...

He was so used to being the one learning--so he blinked and and looked apologetic to the last part.]

I guess the easiest way to put it, is fonons are what give everything a solid form, by vibrating? [He laughed softly.]

Sorry if I confused you, though. [He gave an apologetic look.]

[ Ishtar tilted her head, but that actually helped a little bit in explanation. Ishtar gave him a small smile. ]

That makes a lot of sense.

[ She could at least get that much. ]

no it's not your fault. I'm not good at understanding things first hand. I'm really and idiot sometimes.

[He nods, then blinks at her insulting herself.] Wait, what? You don't seem, at all, like an idiot!

[He gives a disapproving frown.] And, just because you need something explained a few times, or in a different way, that doesn't make you an idiot. It just means you're trying to learn something new and need a little more time!

[He seems genuinely displeased by her putting herself down...]

[ Leave her alone Luke XD! ]

[ She looked highly confused when he suddenly raised his voice like that. ]

What do you...mea-- oh.

[ Ishtar scratched the side of her face sheepishly. ] Thank you? I'm not used to this at all but I can be idiotic sometimes, really.

[ Ishtar was suddenly putting on a defensive barrier because Luke responded so strongly. ]

I'm sorry...?

[NO. :| Afraid that's not happening.]

... [Okay, he's done, for now. He deflates, a bit, and sighs.]

It's... no, I'm sorry. I've got no business talking to you like that.

[He turns a bit red and copies her action of scratching the side of his face. Sheepishly, even.]

[ Ishtar has met her match man :< ]

[ Ishtar chuckled a bit at his apology. ]

Ahhaha, nah it's alright. I get like that about people too. I talk all big and stuff, but I'm a total hypocrite sometimes.

[ She replies giving him a bright smile. ]
