Last month, I woke up in a place that was not my room here in the tower. It was a grey, dead wasteland. Not even plant life was present. I remember hearing that sometimes, people return to their homeworlds for a time... my questions are as follows. Could that really be my homeworld? And is everything truly as dead as it seems? If so... [She trails off, having absolutely no idea what to say.]

On a different topic, when I first came here, I noticed that sometimes, everything would "change." People would become wireframes, and the rest... is a bit difficult to describe. What does that mean? I'm sure this was explained to most of you, but it seems that I came after the explanation.

It is very likely that it was your homeworld. And that everything is just as dead as it seems. Most of us doubted it at first, but all of the evidence that's been gathered points towards the truth of it.

[He pauses, looking unsure and uncomfortable. Does he want to be the bearer of such dreadful information?]

When everyone and everything suddenly appears to be made of wires, that means the tower's 'glamour' has failed. It's showing us how things truly are.

I... see. So not even souls remain on my homeworld... there are the souls I saw when the shadows were around, but I suppose there is no connection.

[Her eyes widen a bit.]

"How things truly are?" What is that supposed to mean? I'm not sure I follow.

They might be fragments of the souls from our worlds. Or might be something completely different. I couldn't say.

Our bodies didn't survive when we were "saved". Only our souls. The administrators have put our souls in those wire bodies. The powers we have, the appearances we take, anything like that... it's all an illusion.
