What do you do when you wake up to realize that you're once again entirely alone?

A promise of change that never happens. In this place, of all places, I was almost happy again. I could have been happy again.

But then I woke up. And I was once again completely alone.

How do you go on from that? Is it even possible?

I, too, am slowly coming to the realization of being alone. First those strange shadow children came to me, and then I spent weeks on my dead world. Having seen how dead or twisted everything is, I am at a loss for what to do with myself. I suppose your dilemma is mine as well. There's the possibility of finding a new purpose, but losing your original purpose is difficult to bear.

It took away mine as well. I still fight monsters in the tower to pretend that it still exists, but it's a hollow recreation at best.

It sounds like people are trying to do something about the situation, but I'm afraid I don't know what they're doing about it.

Borrowed time... is that what the countdown on the terminals refers to?

Personal hell? What do you mean by that?

I'm sorry... was your "personal hell" your entire world, or just one space? How did seeing it reduced to nothing change your perspective, if I may ask?

I see.

[Sephira isn't entirely sure she understands, but she lets Neal move on.]

So it was a very "tenacious" place? A place that would be difficult to destroy or eliminate from memory?

I think I understand. A place that has had a large impact on you would certainly be difficult to at least remove from memory, and if it is physically difficult to destroy, then it would be even more so. For me, a place like that would be the facility I was born in and the town I lived near. Seeing them both completely devoid of life, and knowing what I do now... it was a shock to me.

Can I ask what Neverland is? Is that a place in your world, or is it a reference that I'm missing?

So your universe contains multiple worlds... intriguing. My own world was its own entity, but it had a weakened barrier between itself and other worlds, so occasionally information would leak through. This is how monsters and the simulacra came to my world.

I don't think it was "lousy" at all. The simulacra are simply normal people, and the monsters are, in most cases, easily taken care of.

That is true. I have seen all kinds of people here... if multiple worlds did not exist in your universe, it is very difficult to deny them now.

In the tower, back home, or both?
