A few questions for you.

If someone's existence or action is so reprehensible as to require a form of vengeance, is it then 'right' to act against them? Does one evil act justify another?

Furthermore, does any act justify murder in the name of what's 'right'? (Assume our example is in a place where death actually has normal consequences.)

Yes. If there's some revenge in their desires... It's understandable. But it's different from doing it purely out of one's own desires.

Ideally, you get someone impartial to judge, if you can't be impartial yourself.

You'd be surprised. There's a decent number of people who can set their own emotions aside, they just take some finding.

I think I gave up my right to judge a long time ago. It just took me a while to realize it.
