I am, because you know jack all of what happened. I know that guy. I know what he's capable of. And let me tell you; that person wouldn't have been brought down by a single man. Could not have. It took nothing short of a "mob" as you call it to take him down last time, and I'm surprised they were able to now. Doing what they did took a helluva lot more courage in just their pinky to face him than you got in your whole being, oh so wise anonymous person. So back the fuck off and keep your opinions to yourself when someone's trying to do the Tower a favor and lock away the people that'll destroy us.

There are forces here at work that may indeed destroy those imprisoned here. Few more likely than foolishly warring amongst ourselves to the amusement of our captors and the detriment of any pretense at common cause.

You take great pains to enoble your own cause. It has been admitted to me that your action was simply an execution spurred by petty vengeance-- and, evidently, by events outside these walls. I care nothing for these events and indeed, nothing has been gained for the safety of those for whom you claim to care-- or for the safety of those for whom you do not.

Attacks on my courage will avail you nothing, for I know myself. As you do not.
This "favor", as you call it, is not a thing I value or desire. Your lack of strategy and subtlety is appalling-- particularly as you have those naming themselves knights among your ranks.

I never said I was involved with the fight, that's what you get for assuming. I said I know better than you, and surprise surprise you're still harping on "honor" and "justice" and "petty vengeance." My cause is because that bastard tried to destroy my planet just because he could, and almost succeeded. Fuck your petty vengeance.

Your cause is meaningless to me. For, as I have said, I care nothing for events outside these walls.
The vengeance extracted is all the more meaningless if word of these events informed it.Let us hope others do not pay the price for the lack of forethought and self-control exhibited by those involved.

Perhaps your closing sentiment would be better addressed to yourself, and to those who did participate, since you say you did not.

I am familiar with the past events you refer to, although I do not condone them, so I do know about the man in question.

Yet I must agree with the other writer. Their actions were meaningless and reflected poorly on them. They were vengeful and dishonorable.

I did not assume you were involved with the fight. I do not know who you are.

You are wrong. You may know as much as I do, but you do not know more, and you may know less.

I agree that honor may not be an important quality, although some value it. Let us remove it from the discussion, along with vengeance. Honor has no more relevance. In either case, what they did was meaningless. It will change nothing and has likely made the situation worse, because their emotions overrode their common sense.

I understand the desire to attack an enemy, but their tactics are flawed. Their intentions, strengths, and weaknesses are now known, and their enemy may be inspired to retaliate. Encouraging this kind of behavior is dangerous, regardless of your moral beliefs. To be angry with him is not constructive.
