It's my birthday today. I'm two years old.

There's not many supplies, so I was wondering how other people celebrate things here? It's hard to make any day different from the others.

If you want, you can come by at dinner and have some cake with me. It'll have to be carrot cake, that's all we've got.

[And indeed, later that day at five o'clock, Sealand is sitting at one of the tables of the cafeteria, holding a card against his chest. Roy is with him, sniffing at the dinner on offer.]

[Aleph exits the elevator and immediately spots Sealand. He heads over, stopping to look over at Roy.]

Who's your friend?

This is Roy, my hamster. I found him in my room the other week. He says happy birthday too!

I've been okay. Have you? Has your birthday been good? Look, I got you a card!

[He flashes it in front of Aleph before handing it over. It's handmade; there's a drawing on the front of him and Aleph together with swords, smiling, having apparently just killed a monster. It's a childish drawing and Sealand seems to be a head taller than usual, but he put a lot of work into it. It's coloured well and everything!]
