THE FIRST β VIDEO
[The video opens to a young man dressed in purple, looking a bit anxious.]
...Oh man, I really hope this thing is working. I don't think I broke it, but it's not like the 'Gear, so I don't know if it's actually transmitting...
[He studies it for a moment before finally relaxing. An easy smile crosses his face and he leans forward a bit, actually managing to look at the camera.]
Well, if this thing's working, then hi! I just woke up here this morning, so I'd like to know what's going on. The last thing I remember is going to bed in [the Team Rocket base, but he's not going to mention that] Goldenrod, and now I'm here. I don't think this is like that weird dream everyone had - this doesn't look like that castle, after all - but correct me if I'm wrong!
[He steps back from the terminal and reaches up to absently tug at the collar around his neck. For those of you who recognize this man, it might be a bit of a surprise to see that the collar is blue.]
Oh yeah, what are these for? I definitely didn't have this on when I went to sleep. It's kind of annoying, but I can't get it off. Is there any reason for that?
[Ryuunosuke pauses, tapping a finger to his chin in thought. As he's thinking, a strange ghost floats into the frame and starts pulling faces behind Ryuunosuke's back. He doesn't seem aware of it at all.]
I think that's about it. I guess I'll be here in the library if you want to come talk to me directly, otherwise I'll respond on this thing! ...Assuming it's working, that is. I'll feel really dumb if this isn't broadcasting...
[He reaches over to shut the camera off, still smiling innocently.]

He sounds like a lot of fun to be around though!

[Oh well! He can always ask Caster about it here!]
It's good that you two managed to get along though! Just imagine spending the whole war with someone you didn't like...
[What a pain. --Actually, that reminds him of something.]
...Do you know who won? The war, I mean. All I know is that it wasn't Bluebeard and me. I guess I get killed at some point, but that hasn't happened to me yet. Or well, if it did, I certainly don't remember it!

[That was a long time ago though. As usual, Ryuunosuke shrugs it off.]
Well, at least you didn't die, right? That's a good thing! --Oh, and I guess that explains why the other version is older than you - he's from the future!
[...wait but what about the different Servant...]
Which Servant did he have? I kind of doubt they could live up to Alexander the Great.

[Come to think of it, he hasn't seen her lately.]
...Of course he's from the future, why else would he be older than me.
[Normally he would refuse to say, but then, Diarmuid has been willingly giving out his name to differentiate himself from the other Lancer... He frowns for a moment, deciding if he should or not.]
He's from Irish mythology, Diarmuid ua Duibhne. But, well, it's true nothing much measures up to Alexander the Great.

[That name gets him to tip his head a bit while he tries to recall if he's heard it before.]
Irish mythology, huh? I don't know anything about it and I've never heard of him. But yeah, it's kind of hard to compare to someone that famous!

[As bad as he'd feel for Rider having to put up with Professor Archibald...he's also pretty sure Rider is the only one who could make Kayneth's life totally miserable. And he likes that.]
It would make sense though, I...got the catalyst from him.
[Stole it, whatever.]

[who needs that when you can just murder a family and summon a servant, gosh waver]

[...because that makes it so much better.]
I guess that would be an easy way to get the one you want, though! You're really lucky you got someone so famous! I bet he's really powerful too!

[But hey if he's going to praise Waver's ability in a roundabout way, then yes, let's]
He is. The strongest in that war for sure.

Things happened, we lost resources. Mostly in bothering with Caster.
[And it is largely his fault, not having enough mana to begin with. Lowering Rider's stats with his own weakness...but no, no one will hear him say what he knows to be the case.]
