Residents of 2-10, I was hoping to talk to you all about possibly squatting in your room for a few days a week. Obviously if there are any major objections, that will be the end of discussion, but I'm hoping everyone will remain reasonable about this. [Her tone of voice makes it pretty obvious that she will not make it the end of discussion in the slightest.]

...Relatedly, to my roommates in 1-07, would bringing home a bunkmate be absolutely out of the question for anyone? I promise to keep him out of trouble. Or out of anything sharp...

And for everyone else who's interested: Does anyone have any methods to snap someone out of something? [Sigh] I'm at a loss and completely open to ideas at this point.

I'm not sure how much you've explored already, but there are a few libraries that might give you something to read, and a few floors that mimic the outside, if you were up for that.
