Residents of 2-10, I was hoping to talk to you all about possibly squatting in your room for a few days a week. Obviously if there are any major objections, that will be the end of discussion, but I'm hoping everyone will remain reasonable about this. [Her tone of voice makes it pretty obvious that she will not make it the end of discussion in the slightest.]

...Relatedly, to my roommates in 1-07, would bringing home a bunkmate be absolutely out of the question for anyone? I promise to keep him out of trouble. Or out of anything sharp...

And for everyone else who's interested: Does anyone have any methods to snap someone out of something? [Sigh] I'm at a loss and completely open to ideas at this point.

No, unfortunately not. However, he has some good, mostly-lucid moments, so talking might increase those, I'm hoping. Or at the very least, it might calm him down when he gets too out of control.

Hm. It also might already help to have someone he trusts close by.

Perhaps not all hope is lost then. [You can practically hear the smile in her voice.] I suppose that's often the case with things like this; only time can really tell.

That's how it usually is.

It's a shame; I've always been the sort of person who wants answers immediately. Waiting to see sounds excruciating.

Sometimes it's rewarding to have a bit of patience though.

I certainly hope this will be one of those times instead of me waiting around for disappointment.
