okay soooooo
oh if anyone does not know
i am echidna! just btw
so back home we have these kind of games we play called tabeltop games!
which are basically roleplaying and strategy games that you play using a guide book, and you make up your own character to play as and you play through a story
one person is called the game master (or dungeon master since one of the most popular modules is called dungeons and dragons) and they design an adventure for the other players to act out through narration. the game master controls the enemies and the non-player characters that you can meet and talk to on the adventure, and combat is based on rolling dice and each character's individual stats.
it is really fun! :D
my friend ammy and i played a lot with our friends back at home
so we were wondering if anyone here wanted to play a campaign with us!
we are going to play with one of our dm's really old homebrew modules called problem sleuth
its reeeaaaaally old
and about detectives!
i mean seriously the pictures are in black and white and everything O_O
except the candy is colored for some reason :?
idk
but it looks really cool and we have been wanting to try it out!
but dick was all like nooooooo were playing sburb you babies
weh
if you do not know anything about tabletop stuff that is ok!
and me and ammy can teach anybody that wants to learn! :)
and i think this module is basically like easy mode stuff
at least there is not much math
but if there is ammy will probably do it for you :V !
so yeah you guys should try it. itll be reeeaaaally cool!!! <3
p.s. does anybody have a baseball cap i can borrow???
and/or a potato

Also, sorry but no, I possess neither a baseball hat nor a potato. I could try conjuring one for you, but I don't think it'd stick around. I haven't really learned about permanent conjuring, it's kinda on god level territory.
no subject
ok actually sometimes it does have to be serious but that really depends on the DM and the player themselves
like our DM let us mess around but a lot of times he was like OK GUYS SHUT UP IT IS TIME FOR DRAMAAAAA
and then sometimes you have two of our players arguing and drawing dicks all over someones characters sheets icly :V
but yes you could totally do something together! including long lost dramatic siblings
although i should warn you we will have to go lost-style on this and make the reeal as DRAWN OUT AND DRAMATIC AS POSSIBLE
oh that is cool!
lol i would ask, but we will probably need both items to stick around for at least awhile
at least i need the potato long enough to remember how to make it into a battery
no subject
I wouldn't have it any other way. I'd say we could do the whole Luke-Leia thing, but I'm not sure you can pull that off effectively without someone to be Han.
I might be able to turn one kind of hat into another and have that stick, as long as it's the same size? Conservation of mass and all that. Ohhhh, potato battery, I remember those! If you find one and get stuck, let me know, I totally aced that class.

we will have to strike the perfect balance between casa blanca noir and inspector gadget.
well i am sure you could get someone to play a han figure if you really wanted to do that! :P
and if not then i could always NPC him
although if he is an important DM plot NPC he might have to be killed off dramatically
!!!
sweet!! we should try it if you do not mind! :D
yes i am going to make one with the jade-blooded eridan 8)
i am sure he would not mind if you wanted to help
we can get a bunch of them and make a POTATO GENERATOR
no subject
I don't mind! We can give it a shot. I think I have a hat we could use as a base, too, though I'll have to make it not purple anymore.
A potato generator!! What motivated this particular diabolical scheme? He doesn't seem the diabolical science type, just saying.
no subject
i remember my friend briar played a few NPCs for our DM sometimes
it really just depends on what the DM needs and if they are willing to divulge crucial plot information!
but it is not unknown for them to have assistants :O
but yes he certainly can!
and i may be able to mix in a joke or two about his father and/or who shot first :B
AWESOME!!
you do not really have to change the color if it is too difficult :P
anything works!
i was telling him about what i do back on my world
and when we started talking about science i offered to show him some stuff and he agreed!
sadly i do not have any chemistry kits here with me or anything :(
so i thought a potato battery would be an easy thing to start with!
no subject
Well, if purple would be okay, I guess I can leave it that way. Want to meet up and get 'er done?
Sorry, but all I have are magic supplies. Maybe if you go make a suggestion at the suggestion box for some science-y type stuff, they'll oblige? Someone told me before that they do that, sometimes. Potato battery is a time-honored intro to the wonders of science tradition, though. Good choice.
no subject
i will try not to disappoint you!
tbh this is my first time running a campaign i have only ever played before D:
but i am going to do my best!!
indeed, a potato-battery was the first thing i made as a little kid! :)
i will probably try the suggestion box :O
but for now i am good for trying fancy purple hat magic!!
no subject
I think I started with the baking soda volcano, another time-honored classic. When do you want to meet up and do the fancy hat magic?
no subject
but yes i will try my best!
that is typically how our dnd sessions go so :P
oh i remember making the volcano too!!!
i am good for any time so!
if you want i can go meet you by the library door again :)
no subject
Okay! Want to meet up there right now? Volcanoes aside.
no subject
he always does >:T
but yeah sounds good to me! i will see you there! :)
[And off she goes!]

[Echidna greeted when she found Willow, affecting the best darn british accent she could. Which wasn't much, but still.]
Smashing hat you've got there, deary!
no subject
Thank you, old chap, I am ever so fond of it. Shall we be off, then?
no subject
At this point she's just being offensive. She gestured forward for Willow to lead the way.]Cheers then, after you m'lady!
no subject
Then she settles into a chair, and nods to the one next to her.] Do sit, Miss Hackett. We have ever so much to be on with.

One baseball cap was the request, right? [she double checks, dropping the accent.]
no subject
Ammy and I are working on a secret thing that definitely requires a baseball cap.
no subject
[Willow takes a breath, because changing one thing to another is relatively involved magic. It's not animation, just inanimate to inanimate, and she's planning on obeying the law of conservation of mass, so it shouldn't be too bad. A far cry from a gun into a dove with the wave of her hand.
Yeah, she can do this. There's some long moments of silence in which she concentrates and stares at the hat. Then she raises a hand, very slowly, and passes it over it as if doing a magic trick.
When her hand comes back, there's a perfectly normal, black top hat sitting there.]
--Darn!
no subject
And then she remembered she needed a baseball hat and paid attention.]
--Oh! Did it not work right?
no subject
[She picks it and inspects it, then looks at Echidna again, sheepish.] I don't suppose a top hat would work?
no subject
Top hats are way cooler than baseball caps anyway!!
no subject
Her smile promptly turns into a grin.] I have to say, it suits you, Miss Hackett. DMs need a mark of their station.
