Wait, there was more to it than the hitori kakurenbo massacre?

Hitori Kakurenbo. Playing hide and seek by yourself. It's what that whole thing reminded me of because of the bears and the need to hide.

Basically you take the stuffing out of a bear and replace it with some rice and a bit of your own blood, then sew it up with red thread. You then fill up a tub with water, declare you're it, and go somewhere to count to ten. Then you go find the doll, stab it, then declare the doll it. Then you're supposed to hide with a cup of salt water with you until about three in the morning. You put half the salt water in your mouth, find the bear, dump the rest on it, then spit what's in your mouth on it, declaring you win three times. Then you need to dry and burn the doll.

Supposedly weird stuff happens while you're hiding before you end the game. Especially to TVs and the spirits you attract might be out to kill you if you leave your hiding spot before performing the ritual to end it.

Sorry for the late. Had to power canon review for an app.

Not exactly. Where I come from it's just a story people tell and sometimes try to scare each other. Nothing like what happened there is supposed to actually happen.

Thanks!

Nope, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was real somewhere. Or if it was the inspiration for that mess.
