That is definitely unusual, at least where I come from. [Meaning: if you had tentacles/only one eyes/a giant black star on the forehead it would be more normal to her.]

Well the Doctor seems to be an alien with a human appearance. The trolls don't look quite human, but humanoid.

Yes those are the trolls. They're generally harmless I've found.
